SWITCH to remove radar screen sunshade ?

In a spud video I saw how to remove it, but it doesn’t work for me.

 

any tips ?

There's a little catch right above it that you have to click on. There's also a key binding.

That sunshade tube is just awesome in VR

There is a keybinding to remove it inflight , search for "radar cover remove toggle" and assign whatever key combo you like , but if you remove it inflight can´t  attach it again till next flight or landing ( I think, never tried to put it on in the parking zone when landed)

I thought the canopy had to be open so you could toss it out.
