Hi @71st_Mastiff. It looks like your VR gear somehow switched to standby mode or something. DCS saw two devices come and go for 5 minutes, then Kernelbase.dll crashed. This DLL is a part of Windows, which means you should be able to find more information in your Windows Event Viewer. Look at the App log at the time of the crash (you're looking for a red icon), and copy-paste the error message here.

We can see a breakpoint is the source of the crash:

# 80000003 BREAKPOINT at F667D662 00:00000000

A breakpoint is a kind of 'wall' set by a developer to brutally stop the process execution when a certain line of code is reached. This is for debugging purpose. This shouldn't be seen a in public build. I assume the breakpoint is in one of the OpenXR components installed on your PC. Are they all up-to-date?

Don't know whether it is related but my DCS crashes every time my G2 goes standby. I don't have OpenXR, just SteamVR. I set the standby timer to 15 min as a workaround. (I'm not looking for a solution. I just wanted to add that here.)

Can you please reproduce the problem and attach the resulting dcs.log file? This might help.

I just tried and DCS shuts down the moment my G2 goes to standby. I have a dcs.log (attached) but not a zip. Is this the entended behaviour of DCS to simply shut down on VR standby?

(Shutdown occurs at about 08:03 UTC)

Many thanks. In your case, it looks like a freeze, not a CTD (he log has no proper ending).

No idea, I have not stepped into VR yet. Maybe this issue happens exclusively with the G2?

thanks a lot for clarifying. although I understand that DCS with a VR set in standby can not continue as normal, I hope some day there will be some kind of solution that does not exit DCS and losing the mission progress when I exceed/forget my VR-HMD-standby-counter.

As mentioned, this is not a big problem for me, because one can set the counter as desired.

thanks for looking into it! 👍

@71st_Mastiff good luck (and sorry for hitchhiking EDIT: or is it "hijaking", I don't know)
