Aussie Pilot Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Is it possible to place troops in a watch tower? I want to do an Apache attack on an enemy compound that has watchtowers. The watchtowers will be set to immortal so there are still useable when we escort Chinooks in afterwards to reoccupy the same compound with friendly troops. I'm hoping to try my first disembark set up that will see the troops disembark the Chinook and follow waypoints into the captured compound, hence not wanting to destroy the watchtowers. Cheers, Aussie Pilot.

To the OP: a possible workaround is to have 2 watchtowers in the same-ish place, with the first set to deactivate when destroyed and the 2nd to activate once you've captured the compound (using whatever trigger you've set up to do that). This is probably your best option. Tip: Don't spawn the new tower in immediately afterwards - give it a short delay - incase it's destroyed by an explosion (or follow up missiles/bombs that may take out the newly spawned tower). Don't ask how I know this can be a problem. 1
Aussie Pilot Posted September 13, 2022 Author Posted September 13, 2022 Thanks guys, I may just do that. I don't recall ever seeing anyone in the tower though before, so I'm guessing although they are considered armed, they don't actually have a visible soldier in them. Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
