dlder Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I'm playing the stable version (Steam, if there's a difference) and in this FC3 campaign you fly a 25A. But in the trainings missions you'll get the 25T!? This cannot be as intended, right? First off, why training/practice missions in a campaign anyway... seems kinda lazy, just to get some free missions for a campaign. Secondly, flying one or the other is vastly different (performance, hud) and so it doesn't make any sense. Thanks! OpenXR-Switcher: to easily switch OpenXR runtimes as well as en-/disable API layers Kneeboard-Picture-Viewer: my own take on a Kneeboard for a 2nd monitor, that acts more or less as a better picture viewer. F-15CX mod: my own take on a simple F-15C upgrade English Avionics with Native Betty: you can now have English HUD on non US planes and still hear the native Betty!
Solution draconus Posted October 9, 2022 Solution Posted October 9, 2022 Read more into the briefings - you start with relocation flight of 4 Su-25 and 4 Su-25T. You use Su-25T for training days and check rides. Then you fly missions with Su-25. It is a free campaign so take it as it is. This is an old ED campaign from the Lock-On 2 era, circa 2004 … if you are using it with FC3 then you are enjoying the work of a user who converted it for DCS, he did two versions, with Su-25A and Su-25T .. they can still be downloaded here: 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Dragon1-1 Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Funnily enough, this campaign is really good. Missions are quite varied, it's sort-of story based and the voiceovers are surprisingly nice.

I just noticed that ED resurrected this campaign for FC3, so that’s probably the version that the OP was using. Back when I flew this campaign, on 2016, it was not available by ED and thus I flew the version edited by @winz For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
dlder Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 Jesus, don't get your knickers in a twist... I just found it very weird to fly the "T" in the trainings, that's all. And that training missions in a campaign don't add anything. I'm talking about the training missions. Not the campaign itself. And that just really does seem like lengthening the campaign with zero value. Don't get me wrong, ED really should add training missions for all their aircraft and systems (like when they add a new feature on a plane, add a trainings mission highlighting that stuff). Take the F-15C for instance: you can get an awesome training "campaign" via Userfiles; something like that should've been included in DCS though. But doing a "her is a target, destroy it anywhichway"... that takes about 5min in the editor; especially considering those missions are copy/pasted each time. 1 OpenXR-Switcher: to easily switch OpenXR runtimes as well as en-/disable API layers Kneeboard-Picture-Viewer: my own take on a Kneeboard for a 2nd monitor, that acts more or less as a better picture viewer. trevoC Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 I also find it strange. My familiarity with the su-25 does not guarantee I have the same with the T variant, nor does it guarantee that my 25-t is setup. I found this thread for searching for the same thing. I found it strange. Still find it strange. I'm flying a non T campaign. 1 AMD 7900x3D | Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero | 64GB DC DDR5 6400 Ram | MSI Suprim RTX 4090 Liquid X | 2 x Kingston Fury 4TB Gen4 NVME | Corsair HX1500i PSU | NZXT H7 Flow | Liquid Cooled CPU & GPU | HP Reverb G2 | LG 48" 4K OLED | Winwing HOTAS
