icecold951 Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Could you maybe make the helos bullet proof for a short bit when they open fire? The ground fire is way to accurate and then one of the helos aborts due to damage. The other just keeps orbiting the waypoint waiting for him. The only solution to to prekill the target and that breaks the intent of the mission.
baltic_dragon Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 They shouldn't orbit as they are invincible, maybe some AI logic changed. I need to wait for several core DCS bugs to be fixed by ED before I even can start troubleshooting the missions... For more information, please visit my website. One fact was that the helicopter showed damage from taking fire. That is why the second helicopter turned around.
baltic_dragon Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 I think there is a bug with the "immortal" setting (yeah, one of the core things for mission making) - which may be the reason why the helos get damaged. But I will check it and fix if possible. For more information, please visit my website. baltic_dragon Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 I think there was a bad timing of Clems landing and Hinds approaching, at which point they are not immortal anymore. I'll try to do something about it. For more information, please visit my website. If you want to reach me with a bug report, feedback or a question, it is best to do this via my Discord channel. Razor18 Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Just had the same thing. The lead helo gets shot up, turns around and flies back. The other one goes to the next waypoint I guess, and it loiters there round and around until you just quit the mission. And the helos are flying at lousy 46 KTS.
baltic_dragon Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 OK, I'll have a look. Thanks. For more information, please visit my website. Razor18 Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Maybe if they would also not fly straight and level at 3000 feet, rather contour or NOE?... Just speculating...
baltic_dragon Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 But then they would be a perfect target for any MANPAD out there. For more information, please visit my website. Razor18 Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 If you mean the helos, aren't they even more perfect at 3000 feet?... Unless I misunderstood something, apologies then...
baltic_dragon Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Yeah, they would be a more perfect target at 3000 feet than flying NOE. For more information, please visit my website.
