Ma mou

I have the same issue- there will be a work around - we need to obtain the in- out files from a normal VISTA install and manually install them to Windows 7. I do not have them as I am using Windows 7 along with XP on seperate partions.

Some one may be abe to help

Dont forget we need to tell Microsoft as well??

i have managed to install and got the cougar working on windows 7.

I had to uninstall the latest driver...and instead install 3_HCO_2004.exe (6.31MB) - the main Thrustmaster Cougar software, developed by TM.

Steps:

1. unplug cougar from usb port.

2. run driver to uninstall previous version

3. run driver again for installation.

4. Plug in joystick( trottle disconnected) with trigger button held in for a few second to clear flash.

5. wait for windows to detect.

6. unplug joystick, connect throttle back, and plug back to usb.

7. run cougar update to install flash

8. enjoy!!!!!

mine is working fine now - I didnt hit `run as administrator` when installing the driver....

(and followed a post elsewhere that suggested installing the original driver as well ... this didnt work)

just use the Vista 64 bit driver - good to go.

sorry to bump this one up again, but i ran into this problem aswell. Told me the DLL was missing.

What i did to fix it was to run the installation executable in vista compatibility mode. That installed it without any issues.

cheers

Not forgotte uninstall drivers and very IMPORTANT, delete all directories of HOTAS. You can see directory empty, but need delete directory. If you not delete directory and try install well, you can't do.

Just use the Compatibility Wizard and set it for Vista and it will work fine.

if is possible do this: first go to the hotas web, download last drivers and new firmware. Install it like Administrator.

Mamou, before you uninstalled the Drivers, did you have the T.A.R.G.E.T. software downloaded for Windows 7? You just removed the Drivers, then installed the drivers from 3_HCO_2004?
