Picure Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Today on rotorheads, I was flying around 250kph then I did a fast stop to a hover and the speed indicator on the top left of the HUD did not wind down with my slowing of the helicopter. It jumped straight from +210kph to 40kph instantly
AvroLanc Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I think they model the Doppler radar sensors now, and when your aircraft attitude is not within limits, the GS readout is unavailable. 1
razo+r Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Yup, if you are within certain attitude limits, you can see a continuous update of your speed. 1

razo+r Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 If you get into a level attitude it should be similar again. 1
AdrianL Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 (edited) Is the difference not because the HUD shows ground speed vs IAS for the airspeed indicator? I noticed this and page 8-4 in the manual states it is the ground speed numeric Edited December 22, 2022 by AdrianL

If he levels out the speed will be adjusted and be similar again.
