Today on rotorheads, I was flying around 250kph then I did a fast stop to a hover and the speed indicator on the top left of the HUD did not wind down with my slowing of the helicopter. It jumped straight from +210kph to 40kph instantly

Is the difference not because the HUD shows ground speed vs IAS for the airspeed indicator?

I noticed this and page 8-4 in the manual states it is the ground speed numeric

Yeah but he's not in an area of flight regime where the difference can be this big.

If he levels out the speed will be adjusted and be similar again.

If you get into a level attitude it should be similar again.

Thank you.
So its a real thing and not a bug?

I think they model the Doppler radar sensors now, and when your aircraft attitude is not within limits, the GS readout is unavailable.

Yup, if you are within certain attitude limits, you can see a continuous update of your speed.

good to know, thanks!
