Hi, not sure if this was introduced in latest OB release (2.8.1.34667.1) but I've had some issues with progressing past a certain point of this mission. 

Firstly, my wingman in this mission when detached seems to RTB, which leaves me alone to take out all of the targets found along the way to the CSAR.

For my play, I opted to destroy the enemy compound, then proceed to destroy APC and trucks spotted by Olive, then I also destroy the two leaker trucks that are driving away from the second compound (because Olive isn't around to take the trail truck like the story says). I splash the two trucks and then.... nothing.

Am I missing something or is this likely DCS AI-logic gone afoul?

Thanks, really love the campaign and all the work you've done with the AI to make this feel ultra realistic!

I did notice several ZU-23 AAA emplacements, along with armed watch towers and farp tents remaining at the compound. I cleaned up the AAA, and half of the tents but ran out of ordinance by that point. 

Unsure if this helps provide clues to what might be happening here.

Hey, I will check the wingman behaviour, though I believe it should be fixed in the upcoming patch (I had it reported elsewhere and cannot reproduce it in Closed Open Beta, which includes changes that will be released). The AI behaviour is giving me a lot of grief lately. I believe that no progression after splashing the trucks is also caused by the fact that Olive chooses to RTB.

@eLgargantuan I checked the short version of the mission and it works OK. Made some adjustments for the long one, hope this fixes the issue.

i am stuck  at the same spot but in my version olive is still around to splash the truck in trail and i take care of the front one, after the trucks go ka-boom nothing happens. this is actually my second time getting this far, the first time i killed both trucks with a lucky zuni rocket shot, two rockets two kills, i have a bad habit of killing before i have heard all   the instructions.  so after the first time killing both trucks i assumed i messed up the mission because i didnt let my wingwoman kill a truck, i though it has to be all equal rights 50/50. so this time i let wingwoman get her kill and still nothing has happend.

this campaign has been great and i have loved every minute of it, except for this mission. i love the story line of the mission but the ai has just about drove me bonkers. i have had to restarted this mission ten times at least to get to the point in the mission where we are flying around the fire/smoke hoping for flip to call the choppas  in bound. there have been a handful of times that AI f-14 have rammed a fellow f-14 that is on at 3 and the tomcat on the cat blows up leaving a hole the size of Texas in the deck. the other times there has been one issue or another with my own hornet. i know this is a dcs problem but why does a tomcat that started life on the back of the boat have to come past cat 3 towards the front to turn around to go back to cat 4? if the tomcat on cat 3 has his wings extended the sunday driver runs right into it.

does anyone have any hints of where to go or what to do after the two vehicles that escape from the "compound" go boom? or is the destruction of the two trucks are whats  supposed to start the next level?

the checkpoint that the player is supposed to report, are we talking about an enemy checkpoint?

If you have trouble, maybe try flying the shorter version of the mission? The AI ramming other AI is something I cannot control, and I did try to reproduce it on my end - without any "luck". Never happens for me. Let me know if you still have problems with the shorter version, the AI recently is getting worse with every update and causes a lot of grief- often there is nothing I can do about it...

Just flew the updated version of Mission 14 and everything went off smoothly. Another top notch mission.

I did notice that Clementine didn't show up on my datalink until after they departed the LZ. I don't know if that was just DCS being DCS but If you could tweak it so they show up on datalink as soon as they leave their carrier, it would make it a lot easier to keep an eye on them.

I tried but can't make them show, not sure why. Someone said that TACAN on AI aircraft can mess up the Datalink, might try to remove channel from your wingman and see if it helps.

I got the same Problem.

 

They showed up on SA after the pickup.

 

Ich cheated a little with the F10 Map for the Ingress as a workaround.

My solution.

I find that if I’m near the shoreline Olive will RTB when instructed to detach.

BUT, if you are far inland, Olive will hang around when instructed to detach. 

(I just jotted this hardware info down so younger smarter people can help me troubleshoot possible flaws)
