Hey good people

Not sure if this has been requested. I thought it would be great if in the ME we could have a feature or an option where we could restrict Civilian Traffic in areas where we don't want them moving around. For example in an Enemy Camp we've created with roads only for Armoured Units & such. 

Or maybe this is now already there added with one of the recent updates & I've missed it?

I don't think it's possible with how it's implement currently in maps. 

@OnReTech - do you know if such feature would be doable on the Sinai map? To have civilian traffic enabled but restricted in selected areas (trigger zones) ?

there is no such possibility in TDK, traffic is either there or not In theory, you can make triggers because traffic doesn't have a crash model

Ok, thanks kindly for all replies but what about this idea.. 

The ability to exclude Road transport & just have Rail or vice versa.

Now that would be cool.. don't you think?

Do you have an example of how to do it? On the Syria-map at least they do have a collision model. I was enthusiastically creating road bases only to be run over by vans and cars. Without civilian traffic the map feels unnaturally empty.

Any means to restrict traffic locally would be highly appreciated. Ideally the cars should react to (static) units blocking the road and just turn around, but any crude despawning or hiding when a trigger zone is entered could be worked with as well. With all the airframes we have that are roadbase-capable this really should be a thing. The immersion-breaking when ghost cars pass through roadblocks, checkpoints and ground units as mentioned before restricts mission builders as well.

I posted a similar wish a while ago and I certainly was not the first to do so either. Let's hope the devs take notice someday and implement it.
