F4ttyRider Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 After latest update (OB) my Hornet UFC binds are broken. When I push my UFC button 5 (which is binded as LCtrl+Num5) at my UFC keyboard, only thing what happen is the view get re-centered. No matter what key I try to bind for the "Recenter view", it is allways num5. Even when there's no key binded. If I bind an another key paraller with the num5, that other key won't work. F4ttyRider Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Solved, kind of. This happens only in VR. If there is no any keyboard key binded for the re-centering vr view, the num 5 is allways active key bind for re-centering. I use the joystick button for the re-centering vr view. I have to bind some random key from the keyboard for that action. After that the num5 key is available for any other functions. Win10, HP Reverb G2,
Antix70 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I'm not sure when this happened, but recently my Num5 key is re-centering my VR headset, even though in the UI layer there is NO keyboard mapping for that entry, only my throttle button15. I've looked in everything I can think of and can't find the mapping. It's not module specific, it happens even at the main menu. I only have the Num5 mapped in the Apache, it's my KU "5" button.
Flappie Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Hi. This is intended. To prevent default behaviour, assign any keyboard key you don't use to this command. You will then be able to use Numpad5 for any other command. ---

Antix70 Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Ok that makes sense, but not ideal, seems if I don't want a keybind on my keyboard, but do want on on my joystick, clearing the keybind should remove it, and not leave behind a hidden bind. If that makes sense. 1

If that makes sense. Bind that action to a keyboard button or combination you will not be using or are unlikely to press, then the issue with just pressing NUM 5 will be resolved. You can of course still keep and use your HOTAS assignment. Num5 is my Apache KU bind for the number 5, so every time I looked at the KU and typed 5, it'd recenter my view!
