Gryzor Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 (edited) Anyone has this issue? latest patch Edited March 10, 2023 by Gryzor
albix Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 After today update, aircraft labels are showing only in right eye. I tried the "F/A-18 AIM-9 training mission" and one of the two MIGs was correctly showing in both eyes while the other one in right eye only. I'm using Reverb G2 on a i9-10900K + RTX 3090 system with Nvidia driver 522.25

Thunk Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Since updating this morning to the MT build, labels sometimes do not appear in the left eye. It's 100% reproducible, but I have not found a pattern yet. For example, sometimes with two aircraft near each other, one displays labels in both eyes properly but the other only shows up in the right eye. In other cases, turning so that the aircraft is at the very left or right edge of the view makes labels appear in the left eye. other times, the labels disappear when the object is near the edge of the view and moving so that it's centered makes the label appear. Mirroring both eyes shows the left missing the label. See attached screen shot. The problem is present when watching the attached track file in VR. Confirmed in multiple missions. Windows 11 i9-12, 64GB RAM, 3090 with Quest2. Nvidia driver 531.18. DCS 2.8.3.37556 Open Beta No label left eye.trk
Glide Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Confirmed in the non MT beta. One of my AI groups had this on their wingman (#2 in group). Edited March 11, 2023 by Glide
Glide Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) I disabled Hyperthreading (HT) in my BIOS, and no more missing labels. BTW, MT ran great with HT disabled. Edited March 11, 2023 by Glide
Antonisrho Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Same for me, labels only render on one eye My System: MB: MSI Z790-P, CPU: i7-13700K @ 5.4 GHz, RAM: Corsair DDR5 64GB 6400MHz, SSD: NVMe Crucial P3 Plus 4TB, Nvidia 3080, Oculus Quest 2
Delta Kilo Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Same with me. Looks like the closer opject is shown in both eyes, the further away only in my right eye. I´m using valve index on i9-9900K + RTX 4090
Jazzadanub Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Yep plus one from me, labels doing weird stuff and not showing in both eyes. Changes between left & right.
tangobravo Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Yes, in VR MT, labels have more 3D look, its a bit nauseating.
pachuco70 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 I am having this issue and a few others related to labels.
Delta Kilo Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 Update: Before the new update, I repaired my DCS and the effect disappeared.
Glide Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) I can report this issue is present in the non-MT version. It is not related to Hyperthreading as I first thought because I have HT off. I have not isolated it yet. It is not related to NCP (my mistake), nor is it related to OpenXR Toolkit. Edited March 23, 2023 by Glide 1
Glide Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) So, I am not sure how the label issue came back, and I have not reproduced it yet. However, I cleared the Environment Data in Mixed Reality Portal and it went away. Edited March 23, 2023 by Glide
EagleA25 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Me too; but I want to turn all labels off for good. Any ideas here? TIA!
Delta Kilo Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 @EagleA25 did you do a repair? If this is not working, delete also your metashaders and fxo files.

unltd Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 +1 lables only in right eye in ST Ryzen 5950x PBO | MSI RTX 3090 | 32gb 3600 RAM | 2 x SSD | Quest 3 | TM Warthog
Jazzadanub Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 +1 only labels in the right eye, would be nice to get a fix as this seemed to only show itself when the multi core patch dropped. Although its doing it in single & multicore.
icecold951 Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 In case anyone hasn't checked, my experience this is an issue of Open Composite. I just tested with Steam VR, yuck, and it doesn't seem to affect that.
icecold951 Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 I just cleaned and repaired, and put the Open Composite back in. Same results. I have also noticed that the VR image seems to overlap.
icecold951 Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Okay, I just figured out how to try the multi threading, and the problem appears gone in MT, and unless I'm dreaming, my graphics went up.
