Our AOA indicator is low with weight on wheels,

Screen_230316_160137.jpg

While in this HUD video AOA indicator is up at the tadpole.

At time 03:04 you can see the AOA indicator with weight on wheels, you can also see a tomcat taking off which helps with the time period this was taken.

This one is from the Desert Storm, same as we have AOA represented now. Older block I guess.

Yes maybe, from what we can see it is correct as is.

thank you

Wait @BIGNEWY,

so we have AOA indictaor with weight on wheels from Desert Storm so that's 1990 - 1991, and other newer videos are just gonna get dismissed cause why?

First video has most likely AN/APG-66 radar so that is earlier than our Viper with AN/APG-68, so there was a change in between desert storm and our Viper that is cca 2007 right?

How do you see it as correct as is then?

The video above shows different results so the video isnt clear enough for us to make a change.

Based on the information we have it is correct, if you find any public document to suggest different please PM me.

Different topic: 2nd video, min 10:50, FL380 220kts speed. AoA aprox 7° during turn, when wings are leveled around 5°

Assuming it is a clean config, does our DCS FM match with such figures?

First and third video look like they are from the same jet cause of that AL on the top left, so I guess HAF, we need USAF block 50, not block52+.

Second video is uploaded 2006, I don't know how many years before it was taken to be allowed to be put up in 2006. Might be few might be more than few 😕

I have a video uploaded 2009, take away few years or even more than few and your closer to our version:
