Hi, I'm really struggling to get dumb weapons to drop in singles over any significant intervals. With BDUs and CBUs, I could essentially only ever get the first drop event to work even if I held the pickle button way past the target.

In the attached track file, I tried some Mk 82 Snake eyes and AIRs, and got the following drops to partially work:

  1. Snake eye, AUTO, NT IN, Q 04, M 1, I 015, which I'd expect to release 4 weapons spaced over a 600ft distance, but only one releases.
  2. Snake eye, AUTO, NT IN, Q 03, M 1, I 005, released 3 weapons which did separate as expected over the much shorter distance.
  3. AIR, AUTO, NT IN, Q 04, M 1, I 009, expected 4 again, only released 2 weapons.

Based on many attempts today, intervals greater than 150ft would also only release the first multiple.

  • What am I doing wrong?
  • Is something not supported or working as expected?
  • Are there speed/altitude windows required to make certain interval drops work?

Thanks,

it seems the track file is completely broken so will have to take my word that the ACP is set as described....

From reports on Razbam's discord it seems rippling dumb bombs is problematic ATM i.e. it's likely a CCRP bug.

Using CCIP instead of Auto/CCRP  is said to work without issue i.e. use the uncage button to switch from GAUT to GCIP (tested using Quanty 4, Multi 1, 150ft spacing).

I'm having a very similar issue.

6 x Mk82 at 800ft intervals in CCRP (Auto) and they all just drop at once.

Any news on a fix for this?

I assume the bug still exists as we haven't had a change log indicating any fixes to the contrary recently.

However as a sanity check, please share your ACP settings, as if you're dropping all bombs in the same event, it sounds like there could be a settings issue.

For example, if M >= Q, the interval setting is ignored, which would produce the behaviour you have described.

so Q is 6, M is 4. I have one rack of 3 Mk82 and then one single mk82 on each wing. So in my mind I want 2 bombs off each rack of 3 and 1 off each of the other two. Have I interpreted the system correctly here?

Yeah I think that's correct. The first event should be 4, it's not always sensible about which stations the 4 comes from though, but that's a conversation for a different day.

You're saying you got 6 in the first event with interval set to 080 presumably? Have you got a track/tacview file?

Yes I count 2, 4, 4, 4, 6. So it's probably certain there is at couple drops in there that aren't working as expected.

AJ said above it's on the list, so hopefully they can use the info if they haven't already got an RCA.

Yup, we know, working on it.

Hum, I mean,

We are aware of the issue and tracking it internally, this one should be resolved soon.

Cheers,

A.J.

Is this going to be fixed anytime soon?

Unknown, the whole release logic got broken,  Razbam had planned to divert/add dev resources (time?) to get it fixed but some internal issues got in the way.

Their last status update was 15th August, so they are aware we are eager for a fix.

Thanks,  I will add something to the mix which might be tied into the broken release logic:

2 x 3 Mk-82

QTY 2 Mult 2

CCIP

Expected one salvo of 2 Mk.82 (one from each pylon)

Got: 2 off of each Pylon for a total of 4.

According to Chuck's Guide and the TACMAN, the QTY setting should be the TOTAL number of bombs dropped

Confirmed. I just tried the same thing you got in your track and got the same result - only 2 bombs released with Q=4 M=1 I=80 as well. Looks like the problem occurs when same type of ordnance is to be released from different symmetrical pairs of stations in a sequence. But I did long ripples after the update with no problems...

Do you mean ripples with longer intervals?  I tried several different things with different ordinance with same results. I also tried higher and lower quantities. Thank you for trying it out.

I had a chance to do a little more testing on this.  I could not find any combination of settings that would drop more than one weapon at the time.
