Pavlos Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Hello, I'm not sure what keyword to search the manual with in order to find answer to a question I have, so I would like to ask the kind souls here, as some of you will surely know. Sometimes I get this screen on the Shkval. Initially I thought it does it when it fires up for the first time, but sometimes it may also do it midflight, and I wonder why..Anyone know what this is for? Thanks. GNSF
Dusty Rhodes Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I believe someone said it was the Shkval recalibrating if I remember correctly. CE_Mikemonster Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Does anyone remember a similar screen being on in the night when TV 'stopped'? Aaaahhh the good old days (UK) Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T
beczl Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Yes. As far as I know it's the Shkval recalibration screen. Sometimes appear about 2-4sec.
Mustang Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Does anyone remember a similar screen being on in the night when TV 'stopped'? Aaaahhh the good old days (UK) You still see it on very late at night, rarely though, i saw it on BBC1, with an automated woman's voice saying the date/time every 30 secs or so, just like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrzXVBlERXA
RedTiger Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Does anyone remember a similar screen being on in the night when TV 'stopped'? Aaaahhh the good old days (UK) It means you should stop playing and go to bed. Your regularly schedule death and destruction has gone off the air until tomorrow morning. :P Yeah, seriously though, its just a filler screen while it calibrates. :)
Boberro Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 This calibration screen... isn't it linked with power? Maybe it was power drop or brake for short time. Yea I remember this calibration in my TV. Not good times :D Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ

Slayer Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Back on topic: You overloaded the engines, not enough torque to properly drive the generator so it drops out for a split second and the Shkval resets itself...
