Hi,

1. Cloned my old ssd with OS Windows 10 to my new M2 mnve and it works. DCS and MSFS2020  which are also on their own ssd work both.
2. Now I want to migrate to W11 but it does not work because it is impossible to enable Secure Boot. ASUS knows the issue and say that I have to install Windows 11 from scratch.
MY QUESTION TO YOU:
If i install windows 11 from scratch to my new M2 will DCS work as well as msfs2020  as they are  both on their own ssd?

What is the exact procedure step by step to avoid installing dcs from scratch ?

Thanks for replies

Why would you want to go all this trouble just to use Windows 11, it has no compelling advantages over Windows 10, unless you really really want to use lousy Android Apps on your PC?

But I don't want to avoid your question ...  first, keep in mind that a DCS install covers two hard disk locations:

1) The DCS Program folder, where the game files reside, typically at C:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/

2) The DCS User Data folder, where your controls bindings, liveries, missions, logbooks, screen configuration, etc, reside, typically at /Saved Games/DCS World/

When you say that DCS is on its own SSD, do you mean that you have both (1) and (2) on that drive?  We need to know that before making an exact step by step procedure 🙂

 Thanks for your reply.

DCS Is on it's own SSD and the user data folder Is on drive C where my window 10 Is. I want ti change to W 11 because went from Intel i-7 7700k to 13700k with more core, etc. But If you Say Not to change I leave It as is

well, that's data that wasn't on the initial post ... You definitely should use Windows 11 with the 13700k. The E-cores on that CPU will not work correctly on windows 10, it makes me glad to have moved to AMD since the Ryzen came out 🙂

As you have DCS split on two drives, you will definitely need to backup your /saved games/DCS World/ folder, and restore it later once you have upgraded to windows 11.
