For the landing gear I'm using a two position switch (T4 on Virpil Mongoost CM3).
I ticked the option to synchronize switches position between game and controllers.
When I'm using the switch, it's operating with the expected motion (forward = retracted/ back = extended).

Before starting the flight I'm checking my throttle, the switch is in retracted position.
However when I'm using Instant Action missions and I'm starting in the air, the landing gear is extended.

So if I don't start the flight with throttle at idle, by the time I'm cycling the switch retracted/ extended/ retracted the landing gear is jammed.

The landing gear shouldn't be extended when starting in flight !

Yes, the F1 has issues with the sync option. Happens on the ground as well, you just don't notice, due to WoW maybe.
I have two-position switches defined for the landing gear and the safety switch, and in the sim they always start in the opposite position of the physical position of the switches.

Cheers!

Thanks for the confirmation.
I didn't have this issue prior to last update 🙄

Sorry, no track yet.

But to summarize:

- HOTAS synchronized option is active.

- HOTAS command are cycling as expected (up is up, down is down)

- despite the switch being in the up position, with air start the landing gear is going down when starting in flight.

- by deleting the HOTAS assignment, the problem is solved.

- the problem doesn't happen on other modules (so it isn't on the hardware side).

Hello @fausete,

Today I returned to the Mirage F1 after dabbling a while with the new Gazelle, and found myself encountering this bug: On all my missions where I start in the air, the F1 immediately drops the landing gear by itself. This happens both on the CE and EE versions.

This is not a HOTAS issue, as I removed all landing gear binds and tested with my Hotas programming disabled (the red button on this figure):

gAe9Pie.jpg

I also have on DCS Options disabled the "Synchronize Cockpit Controls with HOTAS".

Tried both the MT and ST versions of DCS, it happens on both. I'm attaching a track created with the F1EE on DCS MT. The mission was working fine previously, in fact I had uploaded it to User Files after having fully debugged it ( https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3327803/ )

Here is also a video of it happening at the start of the mission:

Best regards, and hopefully this can be fixed soon,

EDIT: FOUND THE CAUSE

On my in-air missions I use this trigger to fold the mirrors on start:

Found that on the last update that command was changed, now is 3165 instead of the prior 3176. ☺️  Will now correct this on all my missions.

Sorry for the false alarm ... cheers!

Eduardo

@Rudel_chw I'm glad you found the solution! It's related to the command rearrengement that was made in order to prepare the BE development. @jojo and @MAXsenna can you please investigate if that's the source of your issue?

It's likely the source of my issue.  I had set up a mission that set cockpit parameters but none of them worked and the landing gear came down mid-flight lol

Thanks for the input ... I will re-check the other commands that I use, to see if anything else on my missions may be affected by the rearrangement, fortunately I have documented the items that I use:

The bug is till there.

No script or trigger. I just put the Mirage in air start. I tested twice, first time with my switch in retract position, second time with the switch in extend position.
Both times the gear is extending and I have to cycle to the other position to retract it.

It's working with any other module !

Sorry for the late reply. Somehow missed this.
I get the exact same errors @jojo gets.
I have enabled synced with HOTAS at mission start.
It seems to me the aircraft spawns with the OPPOSITE of the switch position, and that's the problem. And the safety lever does't work. I can extend the landing gear, even if the safety lever is closed.
First track is cold start in the EE, and the next one is the AAR mission in the air.
For test purposes, I have removed Quaggles injector.

Cheers!

Hi! We are investigating. In the meantime, we recommend you run a repair in your install if you haven't done so.
Since the F1 release? I don't know. A hundred or so?

EDIT: And when I made these tracks today, I started with complete fresh keybinds.

Okay, another thing we need to know: what command do you have associated with your switch in the HOTAS?

As far as I'm concerned, it's in the screenshot above.

I use some switches on a K-51 collective. I'm not home now so I don't really remember which numbers they are, but they are ON-ON two position switches. And I have tried only mapping one position with the OFF position as well. Didn't make any difference. 🤔 I will test in some other modules, and also try some switches on my Warthog.

Thanks for looking into this.

Cheers!
