daniellegraham Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I was flying the HUEY ARGO Campaign. The mission 4 requires no NVG but search light only. However, the search light does NOT work at all above 80ft. I have to fly very close to the ground to see the light effect. In real life, the search light should work at 200ft. When could you fix this? I don't want to skip the mission.

Why would you assume that? We already have some modules with very strong landing lights working. MoleUK Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 (edited) The only search light that seems semi-sufficiently bright is the Mi-8. The Huey and Hind spotlights are very very dim and always have been for me. Fine when you're literally on the ground, but get above 20 feet and they quickly start to dissappear completely. Which ones, I'd love check this. But they are not lights in that sense, are they? I thought they were just textures. Over water with the Huey or Hip I don't have to fly high until I don't see anything at all.Night missions in the Gazelle are hard without night vision. Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk

Check the Su-27 landing light, the one that lighten the ground at an angle on the left from a few hundred ft alt. Yes, it's a light source, it lightens the objects dynamically but no shadow casting.
