I just wanted to come on here and create a new post on the topic of adding a refueling probe to the f5E tiger ii as I saw some posts on the topic and thought that the more posts published on the topic, the more ED will see the demand for such a feature.

Did you try the mod? You can get hooked up but you don't get any juice!

So you won't be able to receive any fuel? That's no good.

Yup! Unfortunately it seems the fuel transfer is "locked" in the DLL, if you read the thread. There's no fuel transfer switch in our F-5E. The A-4E-C guys could obviously circumvent this by making their own DLL, so this wish is valid!

A-4E-C is a 100% Original module, not a mod of an existing module, they didnt circumvent anything.

The team developed all of their systems from scratch, they have their source code for the DLLs to make changes and re-compile them.

If anyone wants an F-5E Export Version, with systems not already part of the F-5E-II they'd have to code all the systems from scratch and compile the DLL.

Of course. They did it without the SDK, which is what I meant.
The free A-4E-C community module and the free MB-339 module are what really brought me into DCS. Now I have everything except for the five last DLC campaigns.

Cheers!

Anyone can compile systems, the Visual Studio files are there, only some parts outside of the SDK are missing.

Sure. But the files for the F-5 aren't public to my knowledge. Or are you saying this can easily be done if you know how to code? That'd be pretty cool.
You up for it?

Cheers!

Hi all,

just adding a refuelling probe would be very unrealistic. This was only done for some export models that also included changes to the cockpit, radar, and other systems.

thank you

Just chiming in that this is not the case... our version of the F-5E would not require changes to the avionics, systems, or cockpit (besides one switch) to run a refueling probe. The probe is also detachable. This has been a greatly requested community item for years, I see threads dating back almost 10 years. Would ED consider doing this with the new upgrade now?
