PS: et merci pour la dedicasse sur la première mission 😎👍

C'était mon petit Eastern Egg perso. Seule une petite poignée d'initiés vont comprendre et c'est encore plus fun...

En tout cas, heureux que ça te plaise.

Just a question about the INS, none of the points of nav are correct, they give me strange bearing and distance. Maybe i do something wrong.

Probably, but I don't know what. I guess the alignment is not done correctly...

I have the same issue. I have only tried the second mission though.

Do you have the main setting for the INS to start pre-located? I've not had any problems, but after I've tried the alignment process once or twice so I'm aware of what's required, I always go for the pre-aligned option on all my planes. I do the same with autostart. I'll go through it so I know what the process is, then I autostart on most planes. For immersion junkies, just imagine I told my crew chief to do the alignment before I arrived 😄

It bit me in the arse on an M-2000 campaign, where one of the tasks was to take a fix. I turned it back off for that one after I realised I'd actually turned drift off as well and this was breaking the mission logic!

I am really enjoying all the free F-1 campaigns, but especially this one and it's sibling - they are wonderfully thought through and detailed work. Such a fun plane, it's a single pilot (ignoring the second seat in the BE for now) but doesn't have FBW. It flies wonderfully, and is mostly docile, compared to the Mig-21bis, for example. But it still requires me to 'fly' it, and not push past the limits.

Sometimes the ins alignement goes wrong but is ok after restart the alignement.

But I can't understand what do I wrong in the mission 9. Take off, altitude and speed ok while waiting n°2 to rejoin, fly out the CTR and climb to angel 18 at M0.7, anchor at tango, waiting n°2 to drop his bomb on the false coordinates, enter the coordinates on the INS, go to angel 12, passing IP at M0.8, turn to target and drop the bomb without groing through the frontier with Syria. Turn back to Tango to saddle with n°2 then return to point 3 to avoid flying over Syria. Then I descend to 8000 to enter NW, fly the pattern around the airfield, where n°2 break to go to land, I fly around 10Nm away then turn to the airfield to align at 1500ft /10Nm to prepare to land. I never get the clearance to land. If i land a go to ZT, I don't have the mission completed message.

When entering the Israeli airspace (green 6), they told me to avoid the airfield by flying over the height of Golan, I was flying over the montains next to the frontier, maybe is there a specific point wher I need to fly. Is it possible that once saddled with my wingman I must fly direct to the last waypoint? Over Syrian airspace? And is there an altitude at which I need to fly when returning to the airfield ?

Hope someone can help me.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'm up to Mission 9 myself now - my first run through I must have screwed up entering the numbers for the updated target waypoint so I'll be re-flying as soon as I get a chance.

I do have one suggestion, however. When landing and then parking on the previous mission, I parked to the right of the two F-1s already in the 'weapons hot' area (I forget the proper name) - that is,  to the right from the orientation of the already parked planes, all noses in the same direction. No mission completed message.

My computer crashed soon after this point, so I flew the mission again but this time parked to the left of the two F-1s and the message popped up.

Yeah, probably teaching grandma to suck eggs, and the parking position has nothing to do with it,  but it looked to me like my mission complete message didn't come up because I was on the wrong side of the two F-1s. I may be wrong, but if not, this info might help you.

For me, it was a question about speed at the break, I got the clearance only at 350kts. If slower than that, you never get the clearance.

Correct, you must be at leat at 350 kts for the break, to get the clearance

If I set a lower trigger, the risk is that you get a wrong message. It could be confused between the break and a long final.

Yes in fact, every mission need to have a full INS alignement.

Yes, you have to. You have got all the time to do it. Missions start after take off in fact. So, what ever you take off in 3 minutes or 10, it doesn't matter.

Did you break over the airfield or make a direct approach on final ? You have to break, this mean  :min. 300 kts on initial, right turn overhead the runway. Then you should get all clearance and a mission ending.

No problem on my side, the AI wingman wait until I start rolling. On which mission do you have the problem?

I tried mission 15 and 14, both failed. Multi thread version 2.9.2.49629. I will try to reimport the campaign file, thank you.

This campaign is free and deserve much more attention, this campaign is totally on par with paid ones: Thx a lot for such a quality piece of work 🙂

I agree absolutely. I'm really loving this campaign! It has, for me, about the perfect mix of detail and action. Not too much fiddling with radios, tacan, entering waypoints etc, but enough of this navigation, comms and formation flying to make it an interesting exercise (outside the boom boom pew pew) without getting too OCD.

I'm up to Mission 13. Which, by the way, is possibly revealing my lack of skill. Does anyone have any suggestions for NOT getting hit by the MANPADs at the port (I won't say more to try to keep it a surprise). No matter what I do, jink, drop throttle, launch all my countermeasures, bank left, right or straight ahead, I get zapped as I'm past a particular point. And yes, I'm flying low. Very low.

Indeed it's hard to escape the manpad. I had to fly the mission several times before escaping the manpad without damage. I think you must fly at 500ft as demanded to escape it. I ajusted the QFE to be precisely at 500ft. Take a look at the F2 view and ajust your altitude to the altitude showed on the external view.

Thanks dggoofy! A high quality campaign that which connects very well to your "Equilibrium" campaign! The missions are varied but still convey a coherent and detailed storyline. Definitely comparable to paid campaigns! I really hope for future F1 campaign releases as I can`t get enough of your work (maybe for the F1M once it gets released?)

2 small remarks:

Mission 12 - ELIMINATION: Although I have tried the mission several times, I no longer get any communication after dropping bombs on the target. I flew a righ-turn as requested and in some cases flew over the target again, but there was no reaction. In some cases, Cat Woman warned of a manpad when flying over the village again, but this did not trigger consistently. Maybe a trigger problem? After that there was no more communication and after I flew back to Rayak and landed I couldn't complete the mission.

Mission 16 - NORMALIZATION: The mission is still fully functional, but due to the fog introduced in update 2.9.10, you fly long stretches of the mission in dense fog. As a result, some mission content does not seem to come into its intended effect and you are flying blind
