need track replay Viper radar A/G GMT, after TMS UP can't cue to TGP if no A/G weapon

Hello,

When you use the GMT radar and you "lock" with TMS up a dot, you can't slew the TGP on it if you have no A/G weapon.

If you have some bombs you have to be on CCRP mode (Prog 2) to slew the GMT to TGP , doesn't working in prog 1 CCIP.

Tgp won't slave in CCIP at your target, regardless of the bombing profile.

 

TGP will only slave to a SPI, which you don't have in CCIP mode.

 

You have to be in CCRP to do so and if you designate a target on the radar, you can also use the "TGT" button on the MFD showing the radar page to slew the TGP onto the target

 

You can set CCIP or CCRP in any profile by pressing NWS button or set it by pressing the corresponding button on the MFD when it is showing the SMS page

Does it work if you are in Nav mode and set the radar to GMT + TGP to A-G?

i can‘t test atm but i‘d be curious if it works

We will require a track to understand what you are doing.

However, have you tried to press CZ on the TPOD after the target creation on the FCR? 

Regarding that second observation, when in CCIP the TPOD will cue to the pipper, not to a steerpoint or target point. In this case if pressing the CCRP option cues the TPOD, it's working as intended and it's not a bug.
