Varjo Aero - Any rumours and/or expectations around a ‘V2’

I’ve had a Quest Pro for around 6 months and whilst its a great headset, its not without its issues. I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on a Varjo Aero but am slightly apprehensive given its been out for a while.

Anyone know if there are any rumours around an Aero V2 and what, if any, the improvements could be (I for one would be hoping for pancake lenses)?

It is only now starting to approach 2 years since release and still is considered a top of the line headset even by today's standards. Have not seen any info giving any clue on a V2 so I expect it will be a while if ever.

I got the same email, it’s a great offer and I wonder if they’re doing it to shift units prior to a new headset coming out?

I’m willing to accept a while but if ever? Why would they stop at the V1?

I had the same thought as you this spring when I purchased mine but researching and now having my Aero for past 4 months I believe you can not go wrong with purchasing it especially at a discount. I am happy with my decision and feel no need to to chase after the next generation headsets; having moved from Pimax 8kx to the Aero BTW.

My opinion is even if V2 does come out the limiting issue will be ED and DCS itself with how the system will perform. Yes headset resolution/clarity is important but so is how well VR is designed and implemented in DCS itself. As of today I feel that at the pace ED is moving forward the system itself might not support the full functionality/benefits that the next one or two generation headset (by any company); thus you/us will be spending money on features that can’t be used.

Again just my opinion of why now is a great time to dive into the Aero for the price and getting the most you can out of the current state of DCS VR.

Cheers 🍻
