Rhinozherous Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 As the title says, AP does nothing when activating Barometric ALT HOLD. Track attached. F15AP.trk 1 i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020
Eagle_05 Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Mine stopped working after the last update too. The nose just pitches up and down and won't hold the ALT.
maikchaos Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 It's the same for me too, I'm right in assuming that it should be on like in the picture "altitude hold".
BigBorner Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 3 minutes ago, maikchaos said: that it should be on like in the picture In the Picture its in Radar Altitude hold. This will make the plane pitch up and down if not over water. Press the Button next to RDR to get into Barometric Alt hold
maikchaos Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) Yes i know but i was over the water as you see. It makes no difference Baro and RDR both does not work Edited September 4, 2023 by maikchaos
BigBorner Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 For me, too. AP is just a bit weird if it’s about getting to a selected altitude. Yes, I know that I have to work the throttle for that.
Nealius Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Foolproof technique for me is to level out at desired altitude, hit AP, hit ALT hold. If I disengage with paddle switch to maneuver, I'll level off again, press AP, deselect ALT hold, then select it again.
Solution Rhinozherous Posted September 5, 2023 Author Solution Posted September 5, 2023 On my latest flights it worked most of the time! You have to be in trim to get it to work... Actually now I think this is modelled close to reality as our Eagle is not the youngest and Autopilots needed more babysitting back then. i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020
