Fisherman82 Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) Has anyone else noticed that the world scale is wrong since the last stable update? Im not talking about the cockpit size, that can be adjusted with the IPD slider in VR options, Im talking about the size of objects you see outside of the cockpit. For example, if you sit in a viggen and look at another one next to you on the ground it looks like the main wings would be at vaist height if you would be standing next to it. In reality the main wings on a Viggen is like 1,6 meters above the ground. The same can be seen if I look in an external view in VR. Is there any other means of adjusting the world scale apart from the IPD slider in DCS or the IPD setting i Oculus Software (I have a Rift S). I would have liked to add a screenshot but I cant get one that captures the issue since its in VR. Edited August 26, 2023 by Fisherman82 1
Fisherman82 Posted August 26, 2023 Author Posted August 26, 2023 Been flying again, tried to take a screenshot but it did not show the issue. When I taxi my hornet around Nellis its like Im sitting in a car, with my seat not so far from the tarmac. Its like me and my aircraft is so small. It was not like this before the last update.
RedeyeStorm Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Can’t say I share that experience. Everything is as it always has been. Using Index with Steam VR/OpenXR.

If so then yes. But that only controls how big the cockpit appears to be, things outside is not affected. If you go to an external view its not affected. I do think though that the scale of objects in the VR hanger where you have the main menu is correct, things seem to be the right size there, like the Su27 that is there default, that dont appears small at all. If you would look at it in external view when the sim is running it would appear much smaller.
MacEwan Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 It's always behaved the same for me. Maybe run a DCS repair?
fagulha Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I use the Valve Index and on SteamVR i have this option: "Enforce World Scale" set to 120 (and IPD in DCS set to 56), try to search for something similar in your Oculus software (i don´t know if Oculus have it but it´s worth a try). If you compare the scale of the aircraft in VR hanger to the in-game outside scale of aircraft, yes there is a big difference for me.
