mattjonesgr9 Posted September 5, 2023 Share Posted September 5, 2023 Hi everyone, In the Challenger 2 the gunner won't engage targets at long range with the fin round but will with the HESH / HEAT round. Not sure if this a bug or not considering that a Challenger 1 holds the world record for a tank on tank kill during Gulf war 1 at a distance of 5100 metres but in DCS the gunner won't engage targets at around 3000 metres. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AI will use APFSDS only up to around 3200meters, after that, their FCS won't even compute for any further, unless you change to an HE based round. That said, the M1 Abrams was recently adjusted and the AI now uses its AP beyond 3200 meters. Unfortunately, this is only true for the M1 Abrams AI and the ZTZ-96 AI (in-game M1 copy). 1 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
