I have this problem only on the Syria map, and only with the Mirage F1 (both CE and EE) out of all modules I own gives a low fps (8-10) with visible texture bluring around mostly on the trees, as soon as I hit Esc FPS goes back to normal, if I hit esc again to hide the menu continues with the low FPS. doesn't matter which mission I load in, it always happens, and only with this module/terrain combo. Tried deleteing shadercache.

Let me know what is needed to troubleshoot this.

Modules so far: FC3, Mirage 2000C, Mirage F1, MiG-15bis, MiG-19P, MiG-21Bis, Mi-8, Ka-50 BS2/3, AH-64D, A-10C II, F-4E, F-14, F-15E, F-16C, F-86F, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Syria, NTTR

Maybe send a dcs.log and a track file, also I advise you to delete your fxo and metashaders2 folder witch are contained in your saved game then DCS(.openbeta).

My Setup : i5-4690 3.50GHz + 24GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz + MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC + 2 SSD + 4 HDD + Oculus Rift CV1 + TM T.16000M Hotas

Super Etendard for Life !

Hi

first of all, it would be interesting to know what's your PC configuration.

edit: just maid a solo test flight with an F1EE, 30 to 100 FPS, from heavy loaded city Beyruth in low flight 450 kts to desert zone at 10000ft.

My setup: Ryzen 7 3700X, RTX 2070 Super XLR8 (8Go memory), 32Go RAM DDR4 3200 MHz. 32" screen 1920*1080.

Syria is a heavy map, all RAM and VRAM are used.

I run on mostly minimum to medium graphics settings. Your issues wouldn't be the same anyway.

This is something specific to the Mirage F1 since it's the only module doing it, I have at the peak worst 25fps otherwise save for MP situations, pick any module out of the list in my signature they all perform the same way. Since I tried reinstalling the module completely and it didn't help. And Aerges seem to not care to even reply here which I find...interesting. Here's the log, and lets see what becomes of this.

Even with low-minimum settings Syria and F1 are very CPU-GPU-VRAM hungry. With 16GB RAM, a 2 cores/4 threads i7-3770 and specially only 4GB of video ram it's normal that framerates get very low when the VRAM gets full.

Your CPU is normally a 4 core/8 thread, but in your log there are only 2 core/ 4 thread. I check in my log i have 8 core/16 thread. 🤔

As Antiguedad say, 16GB RAM is too low to run the Syria map. 32GB is a minimum, and it get full too on Syria map, with full/ultra, but with medium graphics it's better.

HI all.

IF your RAM is low (16 GB low!), try adding another 16 GB in the page file, from a SSD (if posible).

I had problems with that map and "through the inferno" mission, but adding this extra RAM did the trick.

If no SSD available, then add more RAM.

Saludos.

Yep, as sad as it might be, that's the reason why many of us don't frequently buy more modules :

The never ceasing escalation towards ever more powerful and more expensive hardware ; for much that I highly appreciate DCS modules, PC hardware is highly expensive to keep $pending so much.

Hi,
I have 46 GB of RAM in my 'computing servant'. DCS runs on a .M2 SSD. And yet I have additionally addressed several GB of page files. Because I've had to realize that if I allocate too little here, DCS will 'hang' at some point.

FS2020 is worse than DCS, i have some zone that are in cache memory on NVME that have a serious drop of FPS, and the CPU/GPU charge are wide under 50%. Bad management of CPU/GPU resource.  In fact Syria need a lot of RAM/VRAM, same for the AH64. The mirage F1 couldn't be in my sight the reason of the problem... I have the F1, the AH64 and many other, the AH64 is the worst, and if you have many traffic on your map (either air or ground) the FPS drop down. Maybe can you make a test track on the Syria map and share it, so other people can test it on their PC, to see if there is a difference.

Another information that could be important : on what kind of HDD are you? HDD, SSD or Nvme? Maybe the lack of FPS comes from the hard drive or globaly from your PC. Can you give us the type of graphic card you have? it could be a good point to know.

Don't you people read anything at all? It is an issue specific to the Syria map and the Mirage F1, all other planes are fine, including the F-15E and Apache. I at worst have 25fps with the rest save for the Enigma server which is unplayable for me since their 2.0 campaign (it'll have to wait on a new PC). I have 32Gb set for virtual memory.
