The issue is that 450 would add enough weight to the aircraft to impact performance. 300 was the ideal loadout and this is why it was used. Because of how DCS displays ammo loads, most people would jump in, set it to 100% and then wonder why their aircraft flies like crap (damn this FM sucks). So we want to first change how ammo loads are displayed in the weapons load screens. That said not much has progressed on this right now, so 300, being the ideal loadout for now, is what we have. I get the point, however, I encourage you to just put the maximum amount available as soon as possible. This is top level "simming" after all so we don't want/need babysitting. A good example comes from the P-51. You can fill all the fuel tanks ( 100% ) which fill the additional rear tank as well. Now the manuals say that you are _not_ allowed to engage in a dogfight while having fuel in the rear tank. How would anyone know? Well it's their business, learn the basics. On top of that, community can help you in different ways. Normandy WW2 -server has set up the rear fuel tanks empty by default, which is a nice touch. 1. Let the players make the choices when something is/was available IRL. 2. IMO DCS shouldn't be designed with only new players in mind but for the enthusiasts. New players won't be new players for long when they start playing and get hooked. Cheers! 3
Gunfreak Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Can't you do something so simple as 100% is what it is now. But let you move the thing past 100% to 125% or what the full load would be. The default when placing a p47 would be 100% and then you can choose to put it over 100% 1 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.

A reasoned and well thought out opinion. Should free them up for the Bf 109G-6 conversion. Bowie

We can already overload with fuel and stores. 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
PawlaczGMD Posted May 19 Posted May 19 This would be great for ground attack. The default ammo loadout is sufficient but not really generous if you want to strafe.
