Virpil MT-50CM3 - Flaps Axis lever mapping possible?

Recommended Posts

Been trying to figure this out for a while, but haven't found anything in searching.

I have a Virpil MT50CM3 Throttle, which has the flaps axis level in the front right corner.  Now it acts as a Axis Control (Axis 3 / rZ) in the VPC Configuration tool.  However in DCS I cannot figure out how to map it to the Flaps controls for any plane since they are all Keyboard buttons and not a Axis.

There a way to map my Flaps axis bar to the DCS Flaps commands?  Been driving me nuts.

Thank you!

Absolutely is. Very easy to add buttons to that axis in the Virpil software. Have a look around in there you should see it easily. I mapped three to mine, one each on ends and one in middle. I use for DCS Flaps. Axis to buttons mapping. Works fantastic with the Hornet.

Now do the same for the axis on the front of the grip. Many throttles have a mode toggle switch so that's really useful.

I performed the steps in the video and it works okay that's fine but why can't I use an analog lever for the flaps in the p-47 as an analog lever I don't want to set it up as a button from 0 to 20% and from 80 to 100% I want an analog flap so that if I want to change my flaps to 15° I just changed my analog flap controlled 15°.

Then don't set it up as axis to buttons and just bind the axis.

Your can? If you're got the virtual buttons configured then you can bind it as buttons or axis or both at once and can pick & choose for each module without reconfiguring your throttle.
