JSpidey Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 I'm experiencing a freeze where frame rates seem less than 1 fps, it forces me to open task manager but I have to spam Ctrl+Alt+Delete multiple times to get it to come up. This doesn't happen all the time it seems hit or miss. Here's my DCS.log let me know if you need anything else thanks. dcs.log

Flappie Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 It looks like this bug: It is a MT-only issue. 1 ---
Steelios2010 Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I have the same issue, and my PC is brand spanking new. i9-13900K, RTX 4090, 128gb ram, 10tb M.2. I definitely shouldn't be having any freezing issues, but it repeatedly ruins my flights. Seems to be happening more often when I try to open the F10 map. My CPU/GPU usage drops to 1-2% until it "might" decide to unfreeze itself.

It should have freezing issues, as the 13900 is one of the CPUs that is affected by this issue: Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
teeboy Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 This freezing/stuttering has been affecting me with an i5 9600k and RTX3060. rather than play with regedit I checked my power plan settings and nVidia control panel options for DCS Blackshark. Ensure power plan is set to high performance and the options for antialiasing and performance in nVidia control panel are set to application controlled and prefer high performance. I was using balanced power plan with default nVidia options for DCS - stutter hell every 5-10 secs! DCS options.docx I use vsync so fps caps at 60 for my 1080p monitor, but now butter smooth (and shows 150-185 theoretical fps). This using DLSS with SSS disabled and high options for most. 1
