DCS does not load texture after very loong time

Hi there, after 2.9 DCS dos not load texture anymore. on latest v2.8 i got long loading time, but one done , was ok. 

after update loding time became huge and if complete , very slow FPS. unplayable.

 

I reinstalled DCS from scratch, even recreating saved game directory.

Even reinstalled Windows 10 Pro from scratch and got same behaviour.

Cannot figure out why i got this . And even if all new reistalled i got no load completition.

Other games have no issue, so i suppose that is not HW problem 

Both OS, DCS and Saved games installed on SSD fast drive 

Grafic card is not the latest Nvidia 1080ti, but i got no such issue before.

Can anybody suggest any thing , before i quit flying

That and the stuttering is plaguing DCS in the first days of 2.9.

try posting your DCS.Log and DXDiag files?? not sure what is going on but maybe hardware to software issue? I know you said other games but they are the rule this DCS is the exception..

 

I have no such issues and use VR with a 1080ti..Also are you using any mods or scripts??

Thank the_nep, i was supposing software issue showing suddenly with no clear reason (you know windows update , registry issue , whatever)

But to avoid any further investigation, i just formatted PC e reinstalled everything from scratch.

The issue is still there . 

So i thought to possibilities : DCS version bugs or HW problem (dont know Grafic card broken)

HW problem for me is excluded as it work , and i have no issue with other heavy applications or games. I know 1080 is not series 30x or 40x , but it has always been just fine for DCS (NO VR)

AH64 is the very bad as you can see on video

HUEY is a little better , even if it takes a long time to load, once done i fly with acceptable FPS and no lag

 

I will post DCS.log and DXDiag, but again... i think the solution should be in DCS it self... Hope.

Well I beleive textures loading in is most through the Vram. so have you tested your vRam in a stress test? I use a 1080ti and while with 2.9 it seems totake a little longer to load in it still completes the load after about 20-30seconds..

I'm in pancake mode with a 1080Ti and I've been getting this issue since it started happening. I've just run a short OCCT vRAM stress test and no errors were found.

Don't worry, you are not alone. My DCS is also unplayable after 2.9, with same symptoms.

Yes I am not saying or trying to playdown the issue I just find it wierd some users do not experience these slowdowns. just trying to find something that is the issue. I have seen some users after a while say it was some piece of software or a mod they use. I would think if it was a problem within the software of DCS everybody would experience it.

 

I could be wrong but just trying to help you all figure these things out and get them fixed.. I know it must be frustrating.. what is weird the OP said he even did a clean install of windows and still had the issue that to me is so weird.. maybe a hardware issue that DCS does not like for whatever reason..

• process list (run "tasklist" in a "cmd" window and paste the result).

As at today, i got 60 FPS , but big lags like i was at 10FPS and still long load of texture. 

All my try was with the huey, i we get that AH64 is common issue. But also with Huey i have problem with DCS 2.9

Yes do you run any Mods for DCS? if so, try disabling them and see what happens, I am thinking a mod is the issue.. 

 

Also any reason you put your game on D Drive?? your D drive is this one:  Samsung SSD 870 QVO 1TB that is a really slow SSD  did you know that the evo are a bit faster..

 

 where is saved games folder on which drive?  also where is your Swapfile  on which drive?

Good point.

@Lupus254 You can do the test: copy-paste your DCS installation to your F:\ drive, then run it from there (find ./bin-mt/dcs.exe). Check if you are still getting this huge texture loading time and the FPS drop.

Ok i will try to change HDD, i used D drive for space reasons. No mod are present.

Saved games and Swap file are on C drive (OS drive). As default windows restallation done few days ago

I will try to change HDD anyway.

Has this been resolved still happening to me too. Loading textures takes at least 10 sec.
