F4E land based

Hi,

I am interested in the F4E, but to my understanding :
- current module is only land based ? (DSCG & later DMAS) - so no carrier landings ?
- carrier based F4E comes later in a seperate package ?
(does that also include a DSCG & DMAS version then ?)

Is this correct ?

kind regerads,

the F4E was never operated by the US Navy ... which operated F-4A, B, J, N and S... AFAIK

and so was never carrier capable

It is equipped with an arresting hook and a sturdy landing gear, so I think it would be possible to force a landing on the ship for fun.

I remembered a scene in an old Japanese comic where the main character's Self-Defense Force Phantom lands on an American aircraft carrier without permission.😀

F-4E is not carrier compatible. MLG is not suitable for the carrier environment at all.

Although It “could” possibly land on one . . . . Once only.

F-4E is land based indeed, and DSCG and DMAS are sub-variants of F-4E.

For carrier aviation, there will later be a separate module but we don't exactly know what variant(s) it will be.

Hopefully one with a J to get that AWG-10 cheese.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
