[31st] Spider Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 (edited) Whenever I designate a target for the Maverick (D in my case), the current waypoint is moved to the target's position. All other waypoints are also shifted in the same direction and with the same distance as the current waypoint has been moved. It also happens when I use the HMCS and set a target after pressing TMS up long. Trackfile was added, but this can simply be reproduced with any F-16 mission with Maverick. maverick.trk Edited November 9, 2023 by [31st] Spider Added trackfile
Falconeer Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 For other sensors like radar and TGP, you can accidentally move your flightplan, when slewing around, therefore you have the CZ button to reset it Maverick should not interfere with the SPI, so this sounds like a bug. Terzi Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) Initially your current selected STPT is your target SPI. When you move your Maverick sensor, you move your SPI thus your STPT seems to be moving as well, because they are slaved. Like Falconeer said if you reset it by pressing TMS down twice or CZ from AG radar, the SPI will come back to its initial location (where STPT was at the first place). Other steerpoints should remain the same at all times Edited November 10, 2023 by Terzi
falconzx Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 If you offset SPI from cursor zero position, that offset is applied to every STPT you eventually select as moving SPI of the same amount.
[31st] Spider Posted November 11, 2023 Author Posted November 11, 2023 (edited) A cursor zero does nothing. TMS down also does nothing. Waypoints are permanently altered. Until you set a new Maverick target of course. Then it's changed again. This is a bug for sure. Edited November 11, 2023 by [31st] Spider 3
RogueRunner Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 (edited) I've seen exactly this using the HAD after targeting a sam. Cursor zero do nothing. Edited November 11, 2023 by RogueRunner 2 With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.
Keith Briscoe Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Once again I say, thank gawd it's not just me. I'm still pretty new so I always assume the problem is user error, but this one has had me baffled.
