I just had to say, the mountains on the South Atlantic map really do look fantastic now 

I have only one question... where the hell is "Shroders"?!

I also enjoy the map verry much, and honestly I can't wait for jumping BuddySpike or similar quality servers onto this map.
I just fly around very often, just to look and see ... it's just such a beautiful area.

Please guys, don't stop the optimization processes, this map still lacks fps in certain areas/situations compared to other maps.

The map is really beautiful and the land itself is simply fascinating. Flying missions here is fun. While building them, you just have to remember, January is summer and July is winter or else the days are very short and dark lol.

I am a Huge fan of this map since it came out in early access! I think the most recent patch has really helped with the overall look of the mountains, they look a lot better. So things are improving and it’s nice to see! Since the F-15E came out I love flying low through the canyons and fiords with the TFR Terrain Following Radar on it’s just a lot of fun! The hardest thing for me has been remembering how Big this map really is! I always seem to forget and have to go back into the ME and scale the waypoints back because if I don’t the flights will run out of gas, especially if there’s any big maneuvers that I didn’t plan for like getting into a dogfight or dodging missiles etc., super easy to run out of fuel. It amazes me how many different kinds of biomes are in the map from low lying swamps to desert to snow covered mountains and glaciers! What’s not to like about that?? Anyway just wanted to jump in here and agree with you all and give a nod to the people developing the map! The hard work is really starting to show and its looking super good!! It’s just going to keep getting better!!!

Is this the whole map area? I am merely interested in WW2 stuff and miss the Norwegian fjords (besides the whole German area LoL).

Saw a video, some terrain stuff (still?) looks quite primitive ...

That’s not the whole map. I think that it goes a little further north and extends a whole lot further west into the Pacific.

For ref, the distance from Port Stanley to the Argentina coast is around 400-500 miles.

Yeah many times, I just launch a small DCS mission to decompress from the day. Simple tasks, formation, refuelling, CCIP iron bombs, a couple of GBUs... Some times even just being in F-16 cockpit, canopy down, rainy weather, cold aircraft.
It´s kind of therapeutic.

If you have any stuttering (usually VR) just drop the forest detail down 0.3..... LOVE this scenery.
