Mission Editor Problem in 2.8, Can't set waypoints where I want them and can't move them

Trying to create a training mission in NTTR and I can create aircraft, ground units and fixed ground units.  I try to add waypoints for the flight and the mission editor just puts them anywhere.  Once waypoints are there, I cannot edit them or move them.  I can only remove them.  Some help please.

Did cleanup and repair, mission editor still not working.  Tried to fly the mission and didn't even put me in the aircraft.  Watched some videos on how to create missions and the mission editor works nothing like the videos.

Try this:

Rename the folder /Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/MissionEditor  .... to MissionEditor.bak

This folder is where the ME saved your preferences .. if now DCS works as it should, then some of your preferences is interfering.

…  I uninstalled DCS and am reinstalling.  I hope that this fixes it.

unlikely, as the DCS repair you already did, is equivalent to a reinstall.
