twistking Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) The S-60 57mm gun and the KS-19 100mm gun still lack their crew after being in the sim for many years now. It looks really stupid seeing these guns traverse and fire without crew and it also makes it difficult to judge if a gun is disabled or not. Both the guns are vital assets for many missions and the missing crew is a very obvious shortcoming of the current implementation. Kang Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Certainly agree, or just decide one way or the other and make it consistent. Some assets have visible crew, some don't. 3
twistking Posted January 14, 2024 Author Posted January 14, 2024 (edited) Quote [...] New units will be available in 2024 that will range from World War II to modern day. Each unit requires thousands of man-hours to create [...] With AI units allegedly requiring thousands (!) of man-hours to make, it's a bit mind-boggling that we're still being shot at by guns manned by invisible phantom-crews. Kang Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 The claim that any given AI unit takes thousands of man-hours to implement leads to the conclusion that adding semi-animated crewmen to existing ones would probably take such a gargantuan effort that even a rough estimate of two weeks™ is impossible to make at this point. 2

No modeled crews. Build animated human bodies has very painful. But actually it would be much better if they where manned by completly static bodys like the 23mm. I dont care if they are animated as long as the gun dont has a mind of its own an operates by itself. 1

Static bodies -even if not ideal- would be so much better than having nothing at all. ED needs to get their priorities straight. 3 My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
