This story is exactly what comes to mind whenever I play mission 1. Apparently the first flight knocked out the lights at the end of the runway, so the rest of the group had to rely on their compass. Frascotti made a mistake of a few degrees and "Umbriago" turned into a ball of flame...

i can replicate the later, when i upload my attempt at mission 1 that i flew earlier this week, you can see my 'fireball'.  But my virtual self did survive though 😁

Hello All,

I have the P-51 Module, the WWII Asset Pack and the Normandy 2.0 Map installed but can't get a "Buy" link on the ED site. I am also updated to 2.9.2 on the Open Beta...

Thoughts?

I had the same issue when I wanted to buy it as a gift. I logged out and then logged in during the purchase process. Please contact ED’s helpdesk with it, something must be wrong with the way it was uploaded to the store.

Got it by clicking one of the other products that recommended this campaign.

I'm guessing there's no way of turning on map directions? F10 is not my friend in this campaign. I keep getting lost or having engine troubles. Thought I had the P51 all figured out but feel like a complete noob.

Love It!

Just picked up the P-51 would you recommend flying this or Blue Nose Bastards first?

The Chronology doesn’t really matter. Depends on what type of experience you want. A full realistic history lesson, or a fun, balanced gameplay in a historical fiction.

Hello, isn't this just a reminder of this campaign, but why isn't someone finally creating ground staff units for the airport, instead of British soldiers or American paratroopers? Mechanics, officers, i need see HBT overals, A.Class, A2s :))))) Otherwise, the campaign is very well run, thanks for it!!

That would be really nice! I totally agree, we need more ground assets for the airfield.

Hello, very cool campaign. I'm a few missions in. One issue I seem to be having is with the comm menu. I can't seem to get it to come up. I know there are occasional prompts for the "F10" menu functions but I can't seem to get to it. I thought it was my HOTAS bindings but even the default keyboard command "\" doesn't seem to be doing anything. Is it just me or is this a bigger issue?

Oh, also, while I do love flying as realistic as possible with modern jets, I typically do turn on unlimited ammo for flying the P-51. I'm getting better at it but still a work in progress. That said, it seems like this campaign overwrites the unlimited ammo option? Is that correct? I'm ok with it, just confirming. Thx!

Yeah unlimited ammo is forced off.

I can't figure this out as I've not had these issues with blue nosed bastards or the Charnwood Campaign.    On Mission 2 I get to about where they spot a train and my engine dies.    I am not even in combat yet or pushing the bird to any extremes and the engine will just sputter then die.    Fuel is not the issue as after priming with the left wing I put on fuselage until down to 25 before switching back to left or right wing fuel.      I am not doing anything different than I have in other campaigns but it keeps happening.     Clueless..........appreciate any help!    I typically run RPMS at 2700 and maniford at 46 other than when supercharger kicks on and i keep it under 60 due to clinbing/altitude.

No idea 😞 maybe you're overboosting your engine at some point? Too much MP with too little RPM? Just a wild guess

You do have to run the left wing tank for a few minutes before switching to the fuselage tank after takeoff.  Something about the engine getting flooded.

I do run the left wing tank at startup and while I am orbiting airfield before switching to fuselage.    Just like other missions.  It seemed to work now - the only thing I noticed is the ram air lever was not pushed forward.   Not sure if that would end up killing the engine but once I put it forward no more issues (other than being shot up by 190 A's lol) in Mission 2.    Somehow three come after me .............

Ram air should ALWAYS be pushed forward.  It was used for when there was a lot of dust/dirt on airfields I believe.  I just move it forward on startup because I don't think that's modeled in DCS.  It definitely should be forward after takeoff though.

Do you have any unofficial mods installed?

I do not; however, since putting if forward everytime I have not had any engine issues unless legitimate from flak, AAA or bandits......

H Reflected. Love your campaigns but with this one I the triggers don't seem to work. I have deleted the campaign three time now and reinstalled it. Previously the issue happened about mission 5 but now after reinstalling it again, even on the first mission the squadron does not split up on letting down over France and just flys around together not finding any thing. Your other campaigns (eg. Beware and BNB) all seemed to work without issue. Any advice appreciated.
