Icarus72nd Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 Is anyone extracting MFCDs to remote PC via Helios or any other method. I can get Helios to display on a second monitor on my DCS PC, but I want them on my secondary remote PC. The two PCs are connected in a network.

I am really surprised DCS can't do server client modes or there isn't a program that can do it. I know there are a lot of people who would want it. Bummer. 1
Trigati Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 You could use Spacedeck, which would let your other screens (pc or tablets) pretend to be monitors connected to you DCS pchttps://www.spacedesk.netSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

MadKreator Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) Not so much Helios but you can use a software called IRIS screen exporter that the helios dev made ( or forked from an original design).Basically you would create a virtual monitor in windows, export all of your displays to it, then use iris to capture those displays and send them via UDP to the remote pc. It’s a bit tricky to use but that is what it is designed for. UDP connection only allows so much bitrate so the fps is limited.. regular displays are fine but a TGP will be a bit jumpy as you can only have 15 or 20 fps max on the exported screen. Helios now also has screen exporter built in but that is designed more for local pc use so can have the brigtness/ gamma filters applied to the exported displays.. but with the same UDP caveats as IRIS Edited January 6, 2024 by MadKreator 1 Intel i7 13700k, ASUS rog strix z790A, 64gigs G.Skill Trident DDR5 @6400Mhz, Nvidia RTX 4080FE, 4TB, 2x 2TB, 1TB Samsung NVME, 1TB Samsung SSD, Corsair RM1000x, Corsair Titan 360 X AIO cooler, Lian Li LanCool 2, VKB Gunfighter Ultimate, VKB Custom STECS , MFG Crosswinds, Moza FFB, Virpil Collective, Track IR5, 48” LG UltraGear OLED & HP 24” touchscreen for Helios,49” Samsung Ultrawide, Streamdeck XL, Corsair Virtuoso RGB Headphones

Can’t be that hard to do. 2

Trigati Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Yes, I think it works for making an iPad a display.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
baksie Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 and button will work on ipad then ? Intel I7-10700K, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe, MSI Z490 ACE, RAM:64GB DDR4 3600, WIN 10-64, 1080Ti Waiting on a good RTX AH-64D|AV-88|A10CII|F15E|F16CM|FA18C|F14B|NV|PG|Syria|Synia
Trigati Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 I don’t know if this software allows for input back to your PC, I don’t think it does.If it did, you’d need to use something like Helios to get that touch input back into DCS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can hook the ipad up to the pc using an app like SpaceDesk. It will turn it into an extra monitor, then you could run Helios Virtual Cockpit as Trigati suggested. Then you would get displays and controls on the ipad. 1 Intel i7 13700k, ASUS rog strix z790A, 64gigs G.Skill Trident DDR5 @6400Mhz, Nvidia RTX 4080FE, 4TB, 2x 2TB, 1TB Samsung NVME, 1TB Samsung SSD, Corsair RM1000x, Corsair Titan 360 X AIO cooler, Lian Li LanCool 2, VKB Gunfighter Ultimate, VKB Custom STECS , MFG Crosswinds, Moza FFB, Virpil Collective, Track IR5, 48” LG UltraGear OLED & HP 24” touchscreen for Helios,49” Samsung Ultrawide, Streamdeck XL, Corsair Virtuoso RGB Headphones

Its not straight forward, I managed to use the iPad as a display but never managed to get the touchscreen to work, I have also tried the free dcsufc app and whilst most people can get it to work, I can’t. That said, both of these problems really seem to be user based, I am useless at Ports, ITC packets or whatever, my dreams out stretch my capability!
Icarus72nd Posted February 19, 2024 Author Posted February 19, 2024 Here is a software that is supposed to do it. I will try this: http://pw-developer.com/soft_dcs_mfd.html
AnarchyZG Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 MATRIC https://matricapp.com can export screen snippets to iPad, Android or another PC and touch works. Of course, do not expect crazy framerates but for MFD/TGP it is good enough. You can either grab from physical monitor or use one of those virtual monitor dongles if you don't have a 2nd monitor.
