Gunfreak Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 A squadron of P-51s are returning from an escort mission in western Germany. They've pealed off the main formation. As the mission didn't meet any enemy aircraft. They all got 1800 rounds of .50 cal to do damage to the German war effort on their way home. They encounter a similar sized formation of Focke-Wulfs north of Paris. The P-51s has the advantage of altitude, position, and quality of the pilot training. They dive down on the Fockers. It's a blood bath. 14 of 16 Germans shot down to the loss of just 1 P51.
