Cypher1o1 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 The Chinook, (at least certain versions) are able to land on water. Is this going to be possible in the DCS Ch-47? 4

beachkind Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 yeah watching that video is really cool! Seeing how the Chinook can just gently land on the water like that was pretty neat. 1

flmike911 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Per the current -10, water landings are no longer allowed without damaging equipment through water intrusion /impact. Those paragraphs have been removed from the manual. D models could do it, but F's not so much.

All though, I believe the CH-47F is capable of water landings, but they are avoided because you'd need to have certain things removed. Aircraft is still configurable for these operations. For in-game, i would say it depends if we are going to have some form of ATIRCM. 2
QuiGon Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 1 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
