After a closer look at the screenshots (no idea whether these still correspond to the current model after all these years), it looks like the green radio of the F1M is comparable to the currently available versions of the F1. The red radio on the other hand seems to contain pushbuttons similar to the green radio in the M2000. So there seem to be more setting options than the current limitation to presets only in the red radio.

What I find interesting is that the back of the gun sight camera in this photo contains green indicators as well as new pushbuttons. To me these green writings look like lots of little display elements or controls.

It seems to me that the F1M contains several small improvements over the currently available versions. In addition to CCIP / CCRP, a radar altimeter and GPS would relieve the pilot of some of the manual work and an NVG-compatible cockpit would offer new application possibilities.

It will have an updated INS, aswell as an HUD (mix between Mirage and F/A-18), CCIP/CCRP feature thanks to a Cyrano IVM version with A2G designation, and proper digital mission computer, Data cartridge for upload of mission data into the computer, ALR-300VR2 RWR, Radios UHF BER 8752 with HAVE Quick II, AIM-9M support, Datalink (MIP, MTD/PDS), HOTAS control scheme, NVG Compatible Cockpit, and GPS.

Will the availability of GPS speed up INS alignment and make INS fixes obsolete or will it enable additional navigation options (maybe even something map-based)?

Is it known for which purposes the MFD can be used? Will it have other uses besides radar display and weapon station management?

Great, can't wait to see more.

I'm sure the M version of the Mirage F1 will bring other possibilities with all these improvements in progress.

Well i wasn't before a big fan of the F104, it makes me want to after this video !👍
nice work

I have no idea, it depends on how it was implemented, I heard it was made by the same people who upgraded the KFIR and such

Hoped to see the M still in 2024. Glad to at least have some news to break the silence.

Is a Q1 2025 a realistic M release or is it much further away?

Will also insta buy the F104 but that seems a distant release.

I'm hoping it will be featured in a nearly finished state in the 2025 and beyond video. If not, I fear it may still be far far away.
In the very recent Aerges update, she still seemed to be in a rough state, even in the texture department.

No, the dev said they are in the coding phase with the cockpit done

is there a link to their discord?

There is no official discord from Aerges, some Devs are on the most popular ones for the DCS Mirage F1

I’d love to see some screenshots…..any sneak previews available?

Devs said they will show it when they will feel confident to show it, and I quote "In summary, it will be ready when it's ready and shown when we deem it worth to show but good progress is being made"

I really prefer this approach instead of ED's habit of hyping things to the moon and back -even to the point of borderline misleading about features and quality- and then blaming players for having unrealistic expectations.

Aerges have a history of providing. Let's have some patience, it's going to be awesome.

Sorry if it felt aggressive it wasn't and they just take the time it needs to work and make those stuff right, also they are working on making the Mirage F1 code more usable and future proof it to use it on the F-104 and F1M.

Also you can of course ask for it, it's fine

No probs Loukuins, I do agree with you, I always felt it best to release it when its fully ready and just drop it, instead of building up a hype around a release date. Just really looking forward to the Mirage F1M, it will definitely be a superb module. 👌

Hi!

Of course you're welcome to ask.

First of all let me explain the no specific dates or timetables until things are clear policy: we think it's common in DCS to miss deadlines, which understandably leads to frustration on the customer side. This is not uncommon for software development, even more so for small teams working on complex systems like is the case in DCS. Unpredictable things like team member illnesses, difficulty with implementation of a specific system in DCS, difficult to solve bugs or performance issues can significantly delay a release when working in small, highly specialised teams.

Regarding code development, we're currently working on 3 main aspects: F1 radar physics overhaul, F1M menu logic and base input and clickability code overhaul (which is almost complete now). This last part won't be visible to the user but will help a smoother and buggless implementation of the F1M and F-104 input logics. On the 'art' side of things, the F1M cockpit is receiving an overhaul and work.

Hope this helps complete the information already provided by @Loukuins
