INS / GPS full simulation [completed]?

Hi,

In the Hornet roadmap, it's indicated that the INS and GPS simulation has been completed. But the INS modeling in the hornet is very lacking, INS fix methods are not present (even if in GPS-denied missions the INS would drift) and the DMS also lacks functionalities like the option to pan around the map. Can we expect some additional features in the INS modeling in the future? In the F-16 for example, various INS fix methods have been implemented.

Regards

+1, there are still quite a few inconsistencies in the INS modeling, update modes that are not implemented, and also some shortcuts taken, such as this one:

Additionally, MAP functionality is STILL broken outside of 40nm scale. This is extremely annoying since 80nm is IMO the most useful display scale for most situations.

This is not a bug; no map should be displayed at 80 or 160.

Is this a 2004 era Hornet thing I'm not aware of? It is possible to place pretty much anything you want on the map layers, and it is not limited by scale. I won't get in to how that is done but this limitation makes little sense.

That's what it says in the Legacy manual:
- 5 nm should show the 250k:1 map
- 10 nm should show the 500k:1 map
- 20 or 40 nm should show the 2M:1 map
- 80 and 160, no map.

Ah, seems like an old limitation. If that is the case in the manual, so be it in game. Thanks for the lookup 👍
