Will Iraq be split into parts like Afghanistan?

I'm wondering if ED wants to build the Iraqi map the same way they're doing Afghanistan. It would actually make a lot of sense in case of Iraq. Someone primarily interested in war with Iran may not be interested in, say, airfields in Saudi Arabia, which were critical for Desert Storm. And a version which would satisfy everyone would have to be huge. Besides, the way the initial announcement was worded suggests we will be getting the map in chunks.

Also, if objects could be separated from geometry, this would allow multiple historic versions of the map. Say, modern and 80s/90s?

I'm expecting to hear "nothing to announce just yet", but... Maybe?

what? bruh you can purchase the whole map at once if u want but the pieces give access to the whole map for cheaper how is it any worse in fact its better in ways please stop complaining

Some people will moan that the sky is blue. I do like the Statement of "My Squadron and me" Like that carries some weight...

We decided to give people more options with Afghanistan, early access starts with the Southwest and the other areas will be low detail. As early access progresses the remaining areas will be given high detail also.

Splitting the regions and offering them individually gives cheaper options for people who may want to focus on a particular region of Afghanistan. ( They still get the whole of Afghanistan but the areas they dont buy will be lower detail )  

If you want the whole terrain you can buy the whole terrain straight away, and as early access progresses you automatically will have higher detail in those areas as they are completed. 

I dont have Iraq details to share yet, as soon as we do we will let you all know.

I just updated to 2.9.10.4160 and Iraq is now available.  The in-game module manager indicates I have 2 terrains eligible for installation: "DCS: Iraq area" and "DCS: Iraq North area".  I bought the full map.  Do I just install the full "DCS: Iraq" and call it done or do I need to install both?

Install full Iraq and you are golden.
