solved Input settings no longer supported...

The new update has wiped out all my device settings... my ‘input’ backup file is now useless, I have to do everything again!. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem ?

To my knowledge, DCS does not "wipe out" files contained in your Saved Games/DCS.../Config/Input folder.

Maybe Windows has changed the names of your devices. When that happens, your Input folder keeps mentioning your devices former names, which results in the apparent loss of all your custom controls.

Please attach:

• Your dcs.log file (from "Saved Games/DCS.../Logs")
• A zip containing your "Saved Games/DCS.../Config/Input" folder.

We'll see if we can help.

Thanks for your answer. 

DCS hasn't deleted my input file, it's just ignoring it... I've recreated a profile for the F-18 and the newly created file is taken into account, which is why I think the latest update is responsible for this bug.

I have a code 45 on my Warthog and I have no idea how to fix the problem... I've unplugged it, updated the firmware and still have the same problem...

If Windows changed your device IDs you can just paste the new ID #s onto your old file names. Not sure why updating the game would mess that up though.

Yes. That is what will happen with a new PC or Windows install. If you save a copy of your files just paste the new ID into them and they should work. You can get the new ID by just assigning each device once in the game.

We need your dcs.log file as well, please. It may appear as just "dcs" in the Logs folder (the zip contains no dcs.log file in this case). The dcs.log file will tell us the name your fresh Windows gave to your devices.

Once you get their "new" names, you can start renaming your input files, as indicated in the PDF linked by @silverdevil above.

You need to use these new names to rename the ".diff.lua" files contained in your "Input" subfolders. Follow the PDF guide.
