I know that, thanks. I didn´t know there are keybinds for the pilot about radar control.

That's actually a very good tip. Last night I tried doing some manual gain and elevation fiddling from the pilot seat,  and found that if you can find a target that way, Jester picks it up immediately. So, very useful tip. Thank you

You're right, tried it myself and am able to make him lock at even greater ranges as before the hotfix - but it's hit and miss and the locks are pretty fragile

Is Jester relying on RWR, it should give him a relative direction where to look for? And if he changes elevation of search by him self?

Before the update he was doing not-so-good job at finding bandits. Didn't try "BVR" yet since update. But its looks even worse, based on this thread. Will try later on and report accordingly.

Anyone knows the answers?

For some reason, this plane works well with aim7 in single player, but in multiplayer, it cannot hit any  altitude, any angle,  or even under 5 nm.
shoot sign keeps blinking every lockon,

And will do it?

This is the 1st step of the one who works with the radar, to rely on the RWR's info, to point the radar dish towards that azimuth. So even Jester should very much rely on the RWR.

You don`t have a good lock. This is something i learned from being advised by Zabuzard. I solved my problems by going low aspect and instructing Jester to look at the slice of sky that the AWACS is telling me the bogeys are in. He usually picks them up around 35 miles then drops the lock. He`ll pick them back up around the 25 mile mark and you can lock up through the context button. Jester will actually tell you when you have a good lock and the shoot cues will illuminate and stay on. Just maintain lock for the duration of the missiles flight and it`s then up to the defensive bfm of your enemy! Since i have learned this, my use of Sparrows is no longer complete misery.....just mostly 😆

Some times he does call false locks a good lock, too. I always check target altitude (aspect switch on nose setting) to verify a good lock.  False locks usually show 0000 altitude.
