low fps mirrors

What's your system spec?

You can turn off the mirrors if they hit so hard on your fps or lower their quality: DCS options > system > res. of cockpit displays.

gtx 1050 16 gb ram and i7. it makes me able to play in high presets but even at the lowest settings, my mirrors are 15 fps. idk what to do. it's kinda glitchy, it looks like it has some kind of delay.

Oh, you mean only the mirrors are laggy while the simulation fps is kept high? Did you try other settings for mirrors? Does this happen for other modules? Do you use any mods?

yes, mirrors are laggy while simulation fps is high. it happens in every module. and i did change the resulation of cockpit displays and tried every sinlge resulation. but it made no sense.

It has always been a FPS killer to me. No matter what I set it costs me about 20 - 30% frames. I switch them on when I'm up high in the sky only.

In the Hornet it's not hitting as much frames as in the F-15E so it also seems to depend on the module though. I'm on the lower end with my rig also (GTX 1080, I7 7600, 32GB Ram...)

Brrrrrrrrrrrt

I'd rather call in a Strike Eagle...

You still didn't answer about mods usage. Also are you using MT Preview version?

I've just tested the recently updated DCS 2.9.5 and it works correctly in F-14B and F-15E in VR/MT.

The option "res. of cockpit displays: 1024" I usually use gives me 15fps on the mirrors. When used "1024 every frame" it gives me full fps smooth mirrors. Apparently it needs DCS restart after changing even if it doesn't says so.

yes! it's actually the solution. once i tried the mt it actually started working perfectly fine. my personal choice is 512 evey frame. i wish we had 200 every frame but it's still good. thank's for helping me guys.

whats the difference between "Display resolution 1024" and "display resoultion 1024 every frame"?

What's the impact on the whole system? What changes?

The resolution of mirrors and cockpit displays is the same with both options but the frame rate changes. It's either low fps (around 15) or high - whatever fps you get with "every frame" option. Obviously it takes some performance away with "every frame" option depending on your system.
