My only modifications have been to animate it and create a basic roughmet. At this point the mod is rather basic, but it does fly and has animated landing gear and props. Hopefully I will have time to update it at a reasonable clip. Constructive criticism is most welcome. Thanks for the clarification - I didn't realise that a roughmet didn't need to be declared in the definition of the model when I exported this one. For me it most definitely renders as a roughmet, however.
Urbi Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 walrusw A specular with the name of a roughmet is declared. I can't use a roughmet as false because there is no roughmet for the main texture. You should have called this roughmet _spec and then the same texture again _roughmet, then you will see the difference. that is not your roughmet. one I adapted. which I declared as false is not loaded in the game. In the viewer as spec. it is loaded from the texture folder. there is no roughmet specified for a ROUGHNESS_METALLIC. look at the description at Heatblur Simulations. there is no entry for specular and only a single direct assignment for ROUGHNESS_METALLIC. 2 Windows 11 Enterprise 64-bit processor AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-core processor 3.90 GHz, installed memory 256 GB (256 GB usable), system type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor 2 x NVIDIA RTX TITAN SLI 48 GB vRAM, 3x 2 TB M2 NVMe WDS200T3XHC Raid, 2x 4 TB M2 NVMe Force MP510 Raid, ERM - 3K3U water cooling, gaming motherboard ROG ZENITH II EXTREME ALPHA Monitor 108 cm ACER PREDATOR CG437K 7680x4320-120Hz, power supply 2000 watts

Guest Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I can't wait for the EC-121. It's a Cold War aircraft that should be in Core DCS along with the Tu-126, IMHO. Keep up the good work.

LCO489 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Hi @walrusw nice work. I was having trouble with the Mirage F1 having some canopy textures issues wich i found to be from the "glass.dds" texture of the AN-12 mod. Could you please fix it to use a unique name for that texture? 2
Tomcatter87 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Just downloaded you An-12, really nice, thank you! I noticed it only had textures for click Airways, is there also a soviet skin? 2 "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward.
