Activate launcher

Hi, let's see if someone can help me, I have deactivated the launcher that comes with the latest patch, now how can I activate it again, since every time I start the game it no longer appears. (I have the Steam version). Greetings and thank you

1. Open this file: "Saved Games/DCS.../Config/options.lua".
2. Set this value to true and save:

["launcher"] = true,

Interesting - For a long time now I have no notification of an update, game starts and runs as normal using MT exe, but if I want to update I have to do it through the Start menu.

I dont have the line  ["launcher"] = true,  anywhere in my options.lua.

Are these related issues ?

It’s the Ponies. One has the update in a saddlebag but there’s a hold up around Dartmeet, worse near Princetown. Cattle-grid-lock. 

I thought they’d done away with MT and ST and everything was going MT but I know bugger all and less after installing updates. This last one’s knackered bindings in every module and it’s not like it’s easy to fix quickly. Hopefully I’ve worked my way through most of em now.

Don’t you have the new update with the Launcher then? I never go messing with the luas, god knows what I’d do. I did see a post from someone that still had the old look but in settings could turn the launcher on or off to stop it automatically launching. Or not, as wanted.

Looks to me like they’re trying too hard and bit off more than they can chew with this update. I’m still sore about having to mess about binding all over though so I will moan a bit.

Maybe your update thing’s down to being on steam or something? Don’t know if you are or not but I’m not over here and updates just pop up after launching when they’re here.

Not directly.  IIRC way back when MT became the default they didn't (maybe couldn't?) change where your icon pointed to so it still points directly at MT exe.  With the new version it should point to the launcher though .  You can change the icon to point to the DCS_updater.exe and it will always check for updates if you want.

I'm still trying to figure out what brand of 'tobaccee' they chew    Seems like they bypass internal testing and drop it down on our heads.  Perhaps each item in the change log should have 'fixed-verified' or 'fixed-probably' note.
