Took off, but it's all over the place

I can't get to go beyond 40-50 kn and the aircraft is swinging all over the sky like a hammock, unable to get it to fly straight. Now I am not sure if this is my skill issue, or it is due to the computer not being able to keep up with the aircraft's dynamics.

You need to enable the system select knob to both on the trim panel. The startup tutorial doesn't mention this.  I tried taking off and had the same issue.  The taxi takeoff tutorial mentions it.

Easy to fly my ass ...... Ive been flying the Hind and Mi-8 for awhile and its no issue....This is effing nuts......for me anyway.

Perhaps I need to adjust my pedals, or something....Ive checked and no double binds....there were a few....none now......Its AWFUl...and everyone says its easy....I must be doing something wrong...

A little help might not go astray here ....please.

I find it flys really well but it’s quite a bit different in how you use the yaw control vs anti-torque pedals I’m finding which makes sense. I think in Matt Wagner’s video he mentioned with the DAFCS is enable it will automatically coordinate your turns which I think will help a lot of people.

I found it very challenging compared to all the other helicopters in the game, lots of spinning around nose high and then ending in a burning heap...but that's what the AO is all about right? 🙂

Certainly not as easy to operate as the others, the bank and yaw require a hair trigger approach to trim.

I can tell you reading the comments from the guys that tried to fly this thing without the DAFCS turned on really gave me a great chuckle. That was my first experience as well and it had me wondering if this was how hard it was to fly in real life. I see these things flying all the time. New respect, and turn on the DAFCS properly! 🤣

In fact, controlling the Big Buddy with DAFCS On feels to me like sitting in a cab in New York and trying to tell the poorly English-speaking driver where I want to go. Only with DAFCS off do I really feel like I'm in control and flying the hook myself.
