Hello everyone, while searching in my photo archives I found images taken during my stay in Afghanistan in the Kapisa region on the Nijrab FOB.

I stayed in the region from 2008 to 2009 for seven months. At the time there was a lot of movement on the FOB: CH-47, OH-58, UH-60 and AH-64.
I was able to take some photos of the Apache in action, and I thank again a thousand times the pilots who provided us with support in all conditions and all weathers with great mastery and great professionalism without ever giving up.

These are amazing photos!  Thanks for sharing them.  I've only seen the Apache as static displays at airshows so it's really cool to see the avionics powered on as well as non-inert armament loaded up.  [ redacted 😄 ]

Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man.

That picture of the green valley surrounded by desert is beautiful, wow.

Here our base "NIJRAB" with the AFGHANIA valley
We can clearly see the helicopter landing area. at the bottom right of the base.

That was my first thought as well. What a beautiful country. Really kind of sad that it has been war-torn for such a long time.

To the OP, great photos! Thank you for sharing!

Wait til you get my age, and say things like "Ooo, I'd love to do that some day!" referring to some billboard or business on the side of the road and your wife says "We HAVE done that!"

..."Oh yeah."

I reworked your pic & printed at 20 by 15 inches you would be surprised how much hidden detail there was, this will go on the wall .

Thanks again for your pics.
