Sea Wise Giant dynamic slots are unavailable due no free parking slots

Dynamic slots on the Sea Wise Giant seems to occupy the only parking spot that is on the SWG. This slot is not released even after "Release slot" nor events crash or similar. Tried to spawn into a different slot at a different airfield, but when returning the message: "All Spawn/Parking spots are occupied, please try again......". Also tried to leave server and go back in but the problem persists.

hello. just as a test, are you able to create a simple mission yourself and see if it changes?

This occurs on a mission I've created and running on a 24/7 server.
Just created another simple mission with only 1 SWG and it occurs like clockwork.

Once you have selected a dynamic slot at the SWG it's as if the only "parking position" is fixed to that slot which essentially blocks other dynamically created slots at that "Carrier".
After a crash, or just even after releasing the slot, the parking position is unavailable for other dynamically created units.

Here is extracts from the log:

Note that after selecting the slot indicated by my player name in the slot window. After releasing that slot and trying to select it again the next image shows the pop up window about the parking slot being occupied. Even if I select a whole different slot and later return to spawn in at the SWG, it still says occupied 😞

I'm having the same issue, no despawning event is triggering in the scripts as well. I tried in a fresh mission, same issue on dedicated servers only, local servers works fine.

I spawn on the CVN-71 first time, then I release the slot and respawn again, it puts me on the next slot over in the order on the boat, I kept respawning until I occupied the last spawn spot and the next time I got the all spawns are occupied message and can't spawn on the boat anymore.

It's like it's not releasing my slot and duplicated and occupied all 14 slots on the boat.

Here's a file to test with MOOSE. You'll also notice that the first unit that spawns doesn't have the correct name format of "[Airfield]_[UnitType]_[Number]". It starts with _ for the first unit as if the carrier didn't exist.

Try this on a dedicated server (NOT Lauch Multiplayer Server option).

@Chesster @shaji I checked the SWG and CVN-71 in 2.9.8.1214 and they seem to be working as expected now. Can you confirm?

@Flappie the ARA Veinticinco de Mayo seems to still be showing this bug when placed as a dynamic spawn. You can spawn 3 times in a dedicated server (4 times in a local server for some reason) and then you get a "YOUR FLIGHT IS DELAYED TO START, PLEASE WAIT" message in the top right of the screen, after that if you try to select role again the spawn/parking slots message comes up, then you can no longer spawn there until mission restart. Test mission attached.

I still have the same issue with SWG on 2.9.8.1214.
Slot won't release after despawn/respawn/takeoff. Only a mission restart will allow another spawn.

You are right. Sorry for getting your hopes up. In my first test I took off with the Huey and landed on land, then it allowed me to respawn on the SWG. But this time I threw the Huey in the sea and it would not let me respawn. I'll make a track and grab a log.

Here's the mission, logs, and tracks from both client, and dedicated server. This track features the Seawise Giant tanker, but it also affects carriers and the Oil Rig with helipad. Using these objects as dynamic spawns results in the parking spot not releasing properly if the aircraft is destroyed, preventing further spawns until the mission is restarted.

Many thanks. There were two important FARP fixes in the last update and I thought there was a good chance for this issue to be gone.  Joy. 🙂
