N0XID Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Sry i cant try it right now. It's just that we wanted to fly a few rounds on the Dirty Birds server tonight with about 5 people. I just wanted to test it briefly with the OH6 but now I'm not sure if it will really work CHECKMATES - German DCS Squadron
Tonker Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) I just got back - downloaded the latest Hercules, as per the links above, and did the cold start tutorial by way of a test; then downloaded the latest ITJ, as per the links above. Spawned in the OH-6, first S. Jungle slot. I noted that the Loach was now offset from the fore/aft line (if you know what I mean?!) of the FARP pad, but no damage or other weirdness. Took off, tooled around, overstressed the engine and crashed - so far so good Spawned in the A4 (first Andersen slot), all good there too. Haven't got time just yet to hop in with intent, but it's good to be back 'in country' EDIT: FWIW I also had another crack at the SK-60-as-an-A-37-stand-in for interest. Some animation and keybind issues aside, it's pretty damn good. Visuals, sound and lighting are all proper gorgeous. An absolute blast to fly and with 12 x 13.5cm/5"+ rockets and/or a pair of mighty gunpods it packs enough of a punch to be worth bringing to the party. Need to do some more testing for systems and avionics, but it's looking promising... Ah, I see there's a recent vid by way of a demo, here. Not perfect as a Dragonfly, but no worse than, say, having a Super Hercules instead of the 'real' thing! Edited March 27 by Tonker 1 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:

The video was way too long to watch just to convey the below message. I flew all out mods this morning on the ITJ server with no issues. A-4C flew just fine from a cold start on the carrier deck. Taxied utilizing the plane directors with no issues. Hooked up and had a smooth launch. No issues flying to and over the island. I see no reason at this point to say the A-4 is a problem. Cayuse flew just fine. Put it through its normal paces taking off from multiple bases/FARPs and getting into combat and landing to rearm/refuel. No conflicts with anything and a smooth flight. C-130 Hercules flew just fine from a cold start. Deployed troops and landed with no performance hits or conflicts with other mods. OV-10 Bronco flew just fine from a cold start. No issues during combat and returned for a landing with no issues. Flight was smooth the entire time. All AI mods we utilize in the mission have not indicated any conflict with the 4 mods listed above or any official third-party modules. From what i have seen surfacing online, the VSN F-4 is having some issues. What I do not know, but if you are running this on ITJ, I would recommend researching the issues others are having. It sounds like there is a conflict after the latest patch. PLEASE NOTE This most recent ED path 2.9.14.8222 seems to be interfering with other mods. If you add mods to the mission not included in ITJ, there could be conflicts. Download separate mods at your own risk. Per Kandy's words of wisdom above, I hope the mod issues get identified sooner than later. The VSN F-4 has been fixed (find the update on Discord). But, it is not used on the official ITJ mission/server anyway. All other mods are working as Devil505 states. Chipwich Posted March 28 Posted March 28 (edited) Yes, @NOXID. Finally. Some one else is having the breaking Loach rotor issue. I have it at Antonio. The Medevac Hueys and non alert F-4Es are doing a similar thing that seems to be related to terrain mesh. This is only when it's hosted on my dedicated server, which I've done a foundational rebuild of the server and only added the I2J required mods. Hope that you figure it out. EDIT: Never mind, I see @Mistermann's post above. Awesome to solve this! Devil 505 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) Got some time in on the Cayuse this morning. Practicing taking out a BMP that was attacking the South FARP to ensure it all ran well. I took the BMP out with the A-4 but got to close to the ground and bought it. Rushed the kill. Next goal is to let the BMP attack the FARP and see how it plays out. I was not sure if I had taken the BMP out so I went to do a BDA and pickup my A-4 pilot. Little did I know, this would turn into a really great solo flight running into new enemies I was not expecting so close to the S. FARP and learning to stay treetop/nap of the earth low and fast. We have incorporated a lot more AAA and Shilkas so get ready for some legit piloting skills and coop work ahead. Fore warning, I turned the volume up all the way to 100% in game on my PIMAX headset because the muffs that originally came with my KDMAS finally wore out on me. I did not realize it was going to drown out my voice when narrating. I went ahead and added some music because you could not understand me over the noise of the Cayuse. I have corrected this. Spinkymoto Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Hi Many thanks for the update. I and my 'Wingman' are having issues with the loading as it now says we require a Hercules. Which one of the many versions do we need to download as it wasn't required before and could do with a link to the correct mod please. Thanks for your immense efforts with this. Sp

Devil 505 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 My view from Kandy's video above. Good times! This was by far the best team work yet taking out such a dangerous target (Shilka). Zipper tore it up to. 3
Tonker Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Yo party people, how are we? Back soon from a spell away, looking forward to getting back Into the Jungle! What's new? 1 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:

We have had a few weeks off between work and some personal matters. Getting back into ITJ ourselves and should have some updates hopefully soon. We tried a few things to incorporate enemy troop insertions and armor attacking a FARP, but it killed the performance every way we attempted it. We have backed off of this and are looking to add some more content between the North FARP and Antonio International. Not stopping, just slowed down a little. We also have a Kiowa Campaign out there we promised to wrap up. We have one more mission to complete on that so we can call it done. ITJ sidetracked us from the Campaign we made. I fully expect another sidetrack moment when ViolentNomad @ViolentNomad releases his Cobra. We are incorporating that into ITJ right away. ITJ should be back up and running soon with some more updates. I also want to wrap up the Army side of Antoni International. 3
Mav Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Just played this last night for a bit before I had to get off for the work weekend and loved it. Using an ancient 1080Ti and quest 2 and it still performed beautifully in VR. I didn’t have much time to do much messing around but was curious if there are troop insertion missions or abilities? Keep up the good work! 1
Wulf103 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 There has been the appearance lately of little or no activity from us to develop ITJ further. We are sorry for this lack....or appearance of lack of activity on the mission. Testing continues and modifications are being thrown into the pot and stirred. There's going to be more news soon and we hope it makes your wait worthwhile. As always......Zipper... 1 1
Tonker Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Appreciate the update Zipper, thanks. Looking forward to a bit of MP flying as and when Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:
Devil 505 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Gents, Hate to say it, but ITJ will be on hold for a bit until. Life has intervened. We plan to continue supporting and building it for sure into the future but had to step away to take care of personal matters. I to have been very busy with work. Current real-world events have kept me busy at work and continue to do so. I just want those to know who enjoy flying ITJ, it is not abandoned and the time we must step away will only have us that much more fired up when we return. Hopefully we will see ViolentNomads Cobra along with the Official F-104 and F-100 this year. More to come. 4
Tonker Posted May 5 Posted May 5 It's an awesome experience as is, in SP as well as MP, and nothing stops us flying it Thanks for the update, take care gents. 2 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:

Devil 505 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Afternoon team! Looks like the ITJ boys are finally back to flying. We look forward to flying ITJ a little more here soon. Getting back into the rhythm. The Hornet has called us back to the nest so do not be surprised if you see some F-18 videos popping up a little more than ITJ right now. @ViolentNomadWaiting on the Cobra brother!!!!!! Cannot wait to get her into the jungle. Hope everything is moving along well with its production. We will also be keeping our eye on the upcoming F-104 and F-100 to add. More to come down the line, but its good to be back flying again in DCS. 1
Devil 505 Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM Finally getting back after it. Feels good to be back in the cockpit again. 1
